Funnily enough i got asked the same question last year after someone emailed me through aflonline.

This was my reply...

Quote:
Thanks for the email,

After doing a little bit of research I am pretty sure that neurosurgeon Peter Dohrmann performed the surgery on Stevens. Nick stated it in this article on the club website - www.carltonfc.com.au/Season2007/News/Ne ... wsId=43344
The neurosurgeon has his own website here - ww.peterjdohrmann.com.au

Hope that helps and I wish your brother all the best.

Obviously the club website link doesn't work after the site upgrade but hope that helps.

Edit: found the article - http://carltonfc.com.au/tabid/4311/Defa ... wsid=43344

I am not sure of your friends condition, but I have had neck and back pain throughout the last few years and have found it beneficial to go and see an Osteopath.

They are like chiropractors, but they are not afraid to touch you and "snap" you back into place. A lot of massage and manipulation is done before any snapping and cracking takes place.

I would recommend that your friend looks into Osteopathy before thinking about seeing a surgeon or specialist about his problem. If it is merely skeletal and muscular - an osteo is the way to go.

The one and only. I reckon you knew that, but just wanted to use the horse play on words thing.

BTW, he ruptured his spleen. He broke his jaw, and all of his ribs. Both of his lungs were punctured. Apparently he just [REDACTED] up.

The man we have to thank for Stevo's surgery is Dr Peter Dorman.

I got some nice results from Dr Gary Speck 300 Malvern Rd - injected steroid into a ruptured disk that had been killing me for years and it cleaned up in a few days. Same injury Ange C had. Seems to know what he's doing. That helps when they've got big needles and all eyes on your spine.

Dr Frankenstein?

I thought it was odd when Stevo appeared with the new bolts.

Damn, I wish your friend the best of luck - hope that he is able to find an appropriate surgeon and get his problems fixed. I know all about neck and back pain and it ain't the greatest, keep us posted here at TC about his progress...
