Anyone who has seen Kreuzer play knows he gives 100% every minute of every match unlike Fraser. Anyone who has seen Kreuzer knows that he can win hitouts at a centre bounce and around the ground.

Did you see Peter Bell outmark Fraser on Saturday  , Malthouse dragged Fraser and gave him a bake.

Fraser is so lazy, and Kreuzer is the complete opposite. I know it's trendy from a few Carlton haters to call Kreuzer the next Fraser but unfortunately for them the facts are he is nothing like Fraser.

Palmer looked ok in the U18s (similar age to Gibbs BTW), but lets see how he goes now against the bigger bodies, and whether he can improve his relatively poor disposal up (71% efficiency)

Cotchin is unavailable; injured; and Palmer wasn't selected by Fremantle in their side on the weekend.

Any chance you could allow him to play even one game before you write him off!

I was for drafting Cotching last year.

However, having seen a bit of Kreuzer pre-season, I have no doubt he will be a star. He already knows where to put his body in a ruck contest, and can palm to position, something many ruckmen are never able to do at any time in their careers.

The kid hasn't even played a senior game yet and you right him off? Your credibility will rise if you can substantiate your opinion with some observations over a decent period of time, not just in a pre season comp and the kid is only 18. Come back with your opinion when it can be substantiated.

Kreuzer has 10 times the heart of Fraser not to mention a body far more suited to AFL footy.

Too much credit. I say 5.

I also think Melvey longs to one day work for Visy. All he does is recycle the same old topic over and over again.

The draft is done and dusted. We recruited Kreuzer. Not Cotchin nor Palmer. Let it go. Support who we drafted rather than who we didn't.

Nope. I'm a 500 pound recluse confined to my sofa and have nothing better to do than stir up carlton supporters in between Days of our lives and Oprah.... you should try it, it makes me feel more positive about life

Getting back on topic Melvey, what do you basis your opinion on Kreuzer being like Fraser i.e. serviceable given that he has not played one game for us outside of pre-season?

Not disclosing sources makes you another rumour starter, the type who create more issues than they are worth for us mods.

It's my prediction. If you go over the numbers most successful ruckmen come late in the draft or even off a rookie list.

I don't think a ruckman is worth a number one pick. They are not the most important player on the ground.

Our side is to predictable, one dimensional and we need to address this. Watching the bombers, pies, port and the hawks you see they have this flair about them and they keep opposition players on there toes cause you don't know what they going to pull out next.

I am not saying that Kruezer is shit, and i don't think Fraser is shit at all. It seems like when it comes to drafting we seen to go the safe option.
