On the one hand Hadley says we lost the ascendency with the hard ball gets then later lost on the outside, and on the other hand he says we will gel together in the midfield.
Whether they're gelled or not, why on earth did the Tiges get the ball first?
That's a different issue.
Ticker? Desire? Too many outside players? Whatever it was it made me sick. They wanted it and they got it. We wanted it and waited for someone to go in and get it.
Get Bentick in the team if that's the case.
Surely each player has a responsibility to get the hard ball when it's their turn.
We need players focussed on getting to the ball before the opposition. I don't see too many wanting to do that in the round 1 team and Bentick is one that will put his head over the ball and be first in. Pick him.
In relation to clearences the Richmond ruckman were instructed to tap the ball behind them. This was an obvious plan and yet our onballers didnt wake to it or the coaching staff. Unbelievable .
It doesnt help too when you have a few fridge magnets in your team( outside players always stuck to the tin( advertisement hoardings)
I will reserve my judgement on this team to around halfway of the season and if their isnt an overall improvement i will let fly with the biggest bake ever.
As for the ruckman situation please MC forget Carlos in the ruck. Never will be a ruckman.
In fact Cloke as well. play Jacobs regardless of kreuzer and Hampson physical condition. Why he didnt play last week is a joke.
Another conservative selection process.
I thought that was over when Denis walk out to Royal Parade for the last time.
