These bad traits are not exclusive to Carlton supporters. Over the years I've easily been in more arguments with Collingwood "supporters" than any other team.

These people just seem so angry all the time. I really don't understand why people pay money to go and sit somewhere for as few hours just to be so negative and obviously have a shit time.

You'll probably also find these people will be the first to bask in the glory when success comes as well.

Of course membership numbers are important to all clubs, but for me I'd prefer those types just kept their money and stayed home.

At the end of the day I believe every player that steps onto the ground gives the best he can. If he has a shit day nobody will be more disappointed than he is. We need to remember that even if we've paid for a membership, the players and clubs don't actually owe us anything.

I have left another Carlton website for exactly the same reason. Some people just rant and rave for no apparent reason.

Hell no ! give em heaps. Bag the 5hit out of them and hope it catches on to those around you and those around them. That way the whole carlton supporter base at the game can collectively moan at the players and give them all the confidence in the world to take risks and back their ability.

Those who want to support and encourage their team should just stay at home in their little fantasy worlds.

i am very proud carlton supporter and its like a marriage to me better for worse to death do us part...

i find it very annoying when people around boo and hiss there own team as well as the oppisition and use abusive language as well..

football is for families and not just the yobbo's and people should be mindful that young kids could be sitting by...

drinking to get pissed at the footy is not on ya can do that at the local pub...i am not saying people cant drink at the footy but i think people can control themselves on the amount they consume after all they are there to watch the footy not there to see who gets drunk the first...

unruley behaviour shouldnt be tolerated and those that do the right thing should not have to ask to be seated elsewhere or move just becuase some louts make it uncomfortable for them

i think its high time that that these people who make an enjoyable day with the family uncomfortable and intimidated should be asked to move on or be ejected all together..

bax i really think you shouldnt have to ask to be seated elsewhere i believe these other cretins should be asked to leave

cheers
oz

I absolutely do not agree with bagging Carlton at the footy but I wholeheartedly support random outbursts of swearing.

It's generally more about these people's unhappiness with their own lives that makes them need to vent. Even when their clubs are doing well they will still complain. Player x doesn't deserve a game in front of player y will still go on etc etc. Success won't change many of them. The need to vent is the role that footy plays for them. Sad, but true for some and all clubs have them.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but on the chance you're not - I agree.

Swearing is a trivial part of life and although unpleasant at times, is hardly a strong enough argument to not want to take the kids to the footy.

I have an 11 year old daughter and I would hope my upbringing of her, doing my job of teaching right from wrong and having some faith in my own abilities and her intelligence to accept that clearly negates an influence some strangers potty mouth will have on her.

People swear. Get over it! Teach your children not to swear, and do your job properly, then I don't see a problem.

My child judges much more harshly those who bag their own team, and worse still LEAVING EARLY than the odd f-bomb dropped on a Saturday afternoon.

As an ex Geelong supporter, and a guy who attend s Carlton matches on a regular basis. It is my view that CFC supporters are worse than any I have encountered.
No excuse for anti-social behaviour,no,excuse for lack of respect for those around you.
Go and blame your parents,or the institute you were brought up in.

yes but the circumstances between barracking for Geelong

and coming along to Carlton knowing the players (especially one) is so different that the comparison just doesn't work.

Oh and lets face it - I am the worst. My brothers hate sitting next to me, my
son loves fleeing from me, and oh @#$%&! 'em @#$%&! em all, @#$%&! everyone!

na, you and Deano are like, like those adolescent slags that cling to the tin roof on cold winter days making green stalactites...horrible, ugly, disgusting...but you can't help admiring them, in a juvenile, crotch rubbing, farting sort of way....

Sweet, but anti-social behaviour is anti social behaviour.Regardless of the players involved!
Simple stuff really, and I wish you well with your family issues.

Glad to hear it, but the fact remains your relationship to him changes your relationship to those at the ground - can't be helped. Just as if a son of mine (heaven forbid!) became an umpire it would change how I'd take the slanging that happens towards umpires.

antisocial behaviour - here is an example. Coming from a very Irish catholic working class family it is antisocial to swear in front of women.

Having worked, been educated and performed with many women, they'd bash the @#$%&! out of me if I were to tell them that!

Two circumstances, two different ideas of antisocial behaviour. (and why the @#$%&! is the spellcheck telling me behaviour has no u?)
