JUDD is a real SNOB isn't he? He is captain of the club and should do interviews to promote the club.

I posted in the Talking Players section yesterday how I saw him reject photo opportunities from a couple of Carlton fans at Lorne on Saturday.

If there was a big line up of fans waiting for a photo I could understand but I only saw two people wish him the best and asked for a photo and he declined.

Does JUDD think he is royalty and above averyone else?

We are paying him millions so I hope he delivers on and off the field.

Did you ever think how it must be for him to have people coming up to him all the time while he's out with family and friends, constantly asking for a signature and a photo? What the hell is wrong with the guy wanting a quite night out, a private meal where he can relax without worrying about his job or his injury or the season ahead?

Take a good hard look at yourself. You aren't the centre of the universe, nor are the supporters in the other thread, and if Judd refuses to sign a few signatures once in a while then that's his choice and fine by me. He's a footballer, not a slave to every Carlton supporter with a pen and a mobile phone.

5+ hour delay. Can you believe that! For a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

the disgusting thing is they have ten HD...why cant they run it live on ten HD whilst they show some bullshit cop drama? the excuses for channel 10 have got to...wait, have they ever explained why they show it on such a horrendous delay? either way when their rights are up i hope beyond all hope foxtel get the series and play it live like they do for motogp. as it is only true fans watch the races cos theyre on so late so nothing would change. GP's live at 8:30 or whatnot from europe, how awesome would that be.

ive always wondered how many people would tune in if channel 10 showed the races live. i reckon itd be a really interesting study in how much it would effect sponsor and patron turnout at albert park. i think theyd find that having the most prestigious motorsport series in the world is a valuable commodity, as long as you dont piss all over it like they have and channel 9 before them.

i think theyd be surprised by how many people would tune in. and ffs just use the direct ITV feed!

Think about what you wrote! Since when do you go to a public bar for a quiet night out with your partner? Do you think the public should apologise to Judd for approaching him in a public area (public bar). I would support your argument 100% if it was a restaurant where you need to reserve a table for two, but come on it was at a pub FFS. The Lorne Pub. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can walk in off the street.

If the public p*sses you off so much then don’t go to a public bar. There are plenty of other places in Lorne to go where you can have your privacy.

Judd, just do the interview. I want to hear what you have to say and can't wait to see you play.

im sure he accepted their wishes graciously, but its a personal thing having your photo taken and then bandied about as a sort of trophy online. i know im not a massive fan of being in spur of the moment photos. and from reading bits and pieces about him and seeing how he conducts himself he looks to be the same.

he would have politely said he would prefer not to have a photo, and i think then its up to those who have approached him to accept his wishes. if they dont and then go carrying on like children who have been refused a chupa chup then theyre the rude ones, imo.

A public area allows anyone to be there. But seeking the private time of an individual is not public domain. Sure, you can ask to speak to any tom, dick and harry in a public arena. But that tom, dick or harry has the right to refuse.

Just because you're in a public arena does not mean you have to concede to any request from the public.

I think Judd is entitled to one interview off here and there....he has been overexposed media wise and must be sick of it.
I'd like to hear from some of the other players anyway its not all about team Judd and I'm sure he feels the same way....its unreal the level of expectation attached to him and I wouldnt blame him if he wanted some time out to focus on something else....

Yep. Why should Judd lock himself up in his own home just because some people think he, as a well known footy player. somehow owes them his free time.

He has the right to go out and enjoy himself in public without spending all his time scribbling his name on pieces of paper.

So he turned down one interview. Big whoop. Haven't Carlton been in the @#$%&! news enough this off season let alone the last 2 weeks. I don't remember many interviews before the game from our last captain. I think it would be distracting and I hope he focuses on winning the bloody game.

so far he hasn't kicked a ball in anger. I suspect he thinks that every question has already been answered ad-nauseum and there's nothing more to say unless he is to pass comment on Libba or pissing in public, and why would he?

We have been in the news for one reason or another for months - good and bad...

Surely the tv crews can find somebody else to talk to!! :? :?

Mate, I'd would - from both Judd's perspective and mine as a supporter - be much more worried about the playing football part, rather than the interview part... after all, Judd might get a $1mil a year or so - what do you think the bulk of the money is for? Not his interviews, and that said - we've heard heaps from Judd in the past few months - not wanting to do an interview a few days before a season opener after a BIG move, being thrust into captaincy, trying to rehab from injury, and dealing with behavior problems at the club already (like he hadn't had enough of that at WCE) is damn well fair enough in my opinion.

...and what was Judd thinking, being in a public place and wanting animosity like everybody else - no matter what sort of status he holds. Maybe it would be better if he hid under a rock to avoid all contact with the public - save for matchdays?
