We are unlikely to play finals, well we don't know that,a couple of early wins can set you up.If Fevola did this mid season and we were 3 wins out of 11,yes i would suspend him for the rest of the season and try new things with who could be Full Forward.

Doesn't make sense, it is irrelevant when it happens as it it irrelevant if a good player or an average players does it, under NO circumstances can it be tolerated!

Well if Fev is playing then Ratts does have balls in my opinion as he would not care about the backlash saying we should of banned him.

We need to think of the Carlton Footy club............. I hope he gets hit in the hip pocket big time, I am sure his wife Alex would not be happy with that.

If the way it's been reported is true then the incident itself, whilst pathetic is not a hanging offence.

The real offence from where I'm sitting is that a key player at a club that finally looks like it's about to pick itself off the mat seems to think it's okay to drag his club back there a few days before the start of the season.

ALL AFL players realise the type of public and media response these sorts of incidents result in. That should be enough for him to not indulge but it seems he can't help himself and Brendan having a big night out is more important than creating yet another distraction for the club.

I don't expect players to be role models (some are, some aren't as with the rest of the community) but I do expect them not to piss on their own club and to recognise the sort of response such an incident will create. The rights and wrongs of the actual act are something that we'll never get total agreement on but I don't think any of us are pleased with the distraction this has created.

Really disappointing.

That said having mused on this all day I'd like to see the players ban him from booze for the season rather than suspend him. That way there's a possible positive outcome rather than simply a punitive action.

It could be a health issue. I remember this show once where this guy had a medical condition that he couldn't hold his pee otherwise he'd get sick. Its called Uromysitisis and its apparently lethal. I can't remember the name of the show but it was like a true story or something. Heres a transcript

Quote:
JERRY I've had this condition since I was eleven! I've been in and out of hospitals my whole life. I have no control over it. Doctors have told me that when I feel it, the best thing to do is just release it. Otherwise, I could die.

SECURITY GUARD Well you're still not allowed.

JERRY Do you hear what I'm saying to you?! I'm telling you that if I don't go, I could die. Die. Is it worth dying for?

SECURITY GUARD That's up to you.

JERRY So you don't care if I die.

SECURITY GUARD What I care about is the sanitary condition of the parking facility. JERRY It was life and death.

SECURITY GUARD Uh huh.

JERRY Oh I'm lying. Why would I do it unless I was in mortal danger? I know it's against the law.

SECURITY GUARD I don't know.

JERRY Because I could get Uromysitisis poisoning and die. That's why!...Do you think I enjoy living like this?...the shame, the humiliation...You know I have been issued a public urination pass by the city because of my condition. Unfortunately my little brother ran out of the house with it this morning.

Wont lose any sleep over it but the sooner the club sees the back of this bloke the better off they will be .

They should take a long hard look at Richmond and Richo at least Richo was just a goose on the feild not off - Fev's got them both sewn up

How about we let fev do what 90% of guys do when they go out, and then let him do his thing on the field. Some people on this forum are acting like english fans, who just love taking down their star.

I don;t care what anyone else says, he is a star, and he did nothing that bad to receive the treatment, he's been getting. Sure he's record isn;t that great off-field, but as long as he gets the job done on-field, i don;t care

I just saw the Ch 7 report of the indident on YouTube.

I wonder what's worse. Fev doing what he allegedly did, or the owner of the restaurant still not having cleaned the window after 3 days.

His our match winner,he is the player who kicks the goals, tell me who will kick our 7 goals for the game, because that's how much goals we will probably kick a game without him, definite wooden spoon.

This is pathetic.. what sad society we live in.. Sick and tired of this Roll model Crap. Footballers are paid to deliver on the footy field. They are not GODS. in fact majority of them are country kids with very little education.

Fev will always be Fev, You can not cure him nor can u continue to make a mockery of him at the expense of the Club and its supporters.

Whilst i find it sad and disapointing that he continues to act this way, I find it more pathetic that a Jouro like Hutchy is digging up Dirt at 4 am in the morning and quite abvious that his intention is to just bring the Club down and interept its Season opner.

I dont know wether its the AFL, the Media or the Mafia, but it appears to me that every time the Carlton footy Club is ready to rise and stand on its Feet, something has to happen to keep it Down.

If fev gets suspeneded, i will be very angry, because He will never learn anything from it, and Only us the supporters and the Club will Lose.

if u wana punish him for being who he is, then get him out for 10 weeks and move on. Suspending him for one game is pure silly. We will lose the game, and this will stuff up our entire season

i don't know if this has already been mentioned but i'm not sure if suspending fev is what we need to do. suspending fev would mean we are punishing our players, our supporters, our sponsors, our coaches, our administration etc.etc. who all deserve to see fev out there playing. last year we did suspend fev for a week and obviously it didn't leave a big enough affect on him. we need to punish him and punish him only. a large fine, 100 hours community service, sacking from the leadership group, a curfew and a good old talking to would imo work much better than giving him the week off. we know he's capable of applying himself and producing super results but he's only done that for one year. if he can apply himself again then barring injuries i'm confident he could kick 100 thsi year and give our club a massive shake at playing finals this year.

FFS - someone change the title of this thread - it was Channel 7 and not Hutchy.

Hutchy did the tanking story people.

Dylan Howard of Channel 7 did the Fev urinating story.

I reckon! I wish I could say I'm surprised but I did bear witness the hoohaa here when he got that barman in a headlock a 12 year old could get out of. Some of you have lived very sheltered lives if you're horrified at minor incidents like this. Yobos exist at nearly all clubs at all levels, just so happens our yobbo has been our star player.
You all bag the media for reporting shit like this but they do it because do gooders like yourselves get off on it.
