Would u rather a carlton player pissing on a garden in public or pissing his pants in public cos he cant find a toilet?
he didnt piss on a garden bed - he pissed on someone's shop front whilst they were trading and in full view of customers. Thats pretty disgraceful.
It wouldnt have been too much effort to find a discrete alley/side street within a couple of minutes where he could have done his business. Also lets not forget that he would have been in walking distance to his own restaurant.
Frankly if he was that desperate, he would have been better off pissing his pants
Yea true
but, this isn't a football issue, its a police issue. Let the law sort it out.
The AFL should stay out of all issues and let the police sort the issues out.
For me the Carlton Football Club pays Brendan Fevola to play footy games. I pay a gold membership to see Carltons best players on the field, not be suspended cos the AFL is trying to clean up the image. It will never happen, players are young and will always wanna party.
I wanna see Carlton win and if we lose Fev for Round 1 we will lose the game. I dont wanna see that for a pissing incident.
Let the police sort out issues and leave it at that. The American sports NBA, NFL, NHL all have off field issues 10 times worse and they let the police sort out the issues, why cant the afl
If this was Fevs first indiscretion then by all means let him off lightly/with a warning. If he was younger perhaps you might be more lenient.
Players are young? - FFS, Fev turns 28 later this year - he isnt a fresh faced draftee.
Fact is Fev has an entire history of off field incidents - adultery, drunkeness, violence, road incidents (much more than just the 60 in a 40 zone), late nights past curfew etc - and that is just what we know of - I've little doubt there are many more incidents that havent made it into the media over the years. There has also been the 'minor' issue of multiple on field indiscretions/incidents
Yet supporters (particularly the younger ones) continue to hero worship him - a large part of that is because as a club we have completely failed to discipline fevola. What type of example does that send to the young fans out there? More importantly, what type of example does that send to the playing group?
