I believe it was Trent Hotton, he was sacked from Collingwood not beecause of this but it was the culmination. Came to Carlton, grew up and now doing unbelievably well overseas and Australia with Leadership group stuff at some of the biggest football clubs in the world.

I think he was just young and stupid, Fev is young and stupid minus a brain

I seem to recall a story about Hotton being at a club function and taking an imaginary specky over President McAlistair whilst screaming "HOOOOOOTTTTTOOOOONNNNNNN".

It probably wouldn't have been newsworthy if this was the first stupid thing fev had done....or maybe even the 5th

This guy is his own worst enemy - he just doesn't get it - he knows he has problems controlling his behaviour when he's pissed and he knows that people will be paying attention to his behaviour so does he do the smart thing and keep his head down and accept that with the benefits of AFL fame and Fortune there are sacrifices or does he carry on like a flower?

The club has a right to kick his butt because everytime he does something like this the clubs name gets dragged through the mud - the club that is trying to attract members and sponsors and rebuild its brand - anyone who attracts negative attention to their employer usually gets the boot.

Continuosly particpating in activities that have a detrimental on your capacity to do your job should result in disciplinary action - I think he's had enough warnings and last chances - its time the club actually enforced some decent penalties and gave the message that all players are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and thosed that dont will be punished - regardless of who they are.

I cant stand the argument that it doesn't matter as long as he plays well - thats such indulgent bs - and exactly the reason shane warne and wayne carey are such enormous wankers, they got away with everything because they were good at sport.

I dont give a rats **** what other clubs do, dont do or turn a blind eye to (and look how well thats worked out for west coast) if we want to be seen as a leading club we need to set and enforce high standards.

These guys are paid to be professional athletes - that should be their first priority - if they can manage to maintain media careers outside of that, thats fine, but it shouldnt be at the expense of the club.

In 15 years time Fev might look back and realise he's wasted an amazing opportunity.. he could have been the next Jason Dunstall - instead he's increasingly likely to be remembered as a kid with talent who never managed to get his act together enough to get there... thats what frustrates me the most about him, he could be amazing but he's not prepared to pull his head in and act like a grown up.

Hey verbs can you share your wisdom with Fev, because he is lacking in any brains ATM.

Hmm...I could, but then we'd probably hit the piss and both be talking gibberish by 2am.

I suspect he is way ahead of you in those areas

A 'Friend' of mine said......... 'Suspend him for Rounds 1 and 2'. I couldn't possibly say that but a 'Friend' of mine did.

Regards Cazzesman

Did that 'friend' play in the back pocket...

On a bright note... urine is sterile unless Fev has a urinary infection...

I think someone should go and piss on fevola's resteraunt window, when he is present... Give him a little perspective, football aside.

Grow up Brendan, adversity will ALWAYS be around, so get used to it.

Remember it's not ADVERSITY that moulds and shapes who you are, it is HOW YOU REACT TO IT..........

be careful mate, her bedroom window is government owned. i dont think the housing commision would like it.

That's hilarious. You should take that show on the road. The comedy festival starts this week. They're looking for new material

I'm not condoning what he did. It's revolting. But this whole rose glasses concept we adopt towards footballers makes me sick. If you read the papers or watch the news every day and see the horrible incidents that occur every day, it kinda puts this story into perspective.

That this is big news proves what a shallow world we live in. And that's sad.

Well, for a Collingwood supporter I can see why you think this is not a big deal. Your lads have raised the bar as far as off field incidents go.

;)

True, being wasted in cars that shoot at cops just beats burglarising team mates homes -

As for Fev - we pretended for years that Tarrant would change and that his antics "never really harmed anyone". But that isn't the real issue, sure, most of this stuff that Fev gets pinged for is harmless, but not presenting yourself in the absolute best condition to train and play is the real crime and this is what Carlton should be mighty pissed off about.

Like Tarrant, we may have to cling on to the the sporadic highlights of Fev rather than marvel at a career full of sensational forward play.

He had a p1ss, we've done that outdoors at some stage (at least us males). Just like driving 60k in a 40k zone. We've all been guilty of that. Being a footballer doesn't make him any different to the rest of us. If you have to, fine him a grand or two, take the excuse to give him a suspended sentence to keep him in line for the rest of the year and get on with the game on Thursday. That's all I care about. Screw the off-field crap and publicity, it's overplayed. I'm sick of reading about it.

As someone else said....one day he may look back on what might have been.

As Arfur Dailey on "Minder" said...."Terence my boy...the world's your oyster"......"You've got to grab the brass ring"
