Hi all,

Myself and 3 others signed up together as gold members in January (previously silver members)... and we still have not received our membership packages in the mail 3-4 days out from Thursday's game! We have been in constant contact with the club in recent weeks, we know which seats have been allocated and we were re-assured on Friday just passed (again) that we would get our tickets soon... however when my mate got home from work on Friday (having called the club earlier in the day), he found a letter in the mail reminding/asking him to renew his silver membership! I must say, all of this doesn't fill me with great confidence.. cutting it a bit fine if you ask me!

I’m just wondering if anybody else is having the same issues with gold memberships?

Also, for those that have received their gold memberships, when did you received them??

I ordered my gold memberships about a month ago and didn't get my seats allocated until late last week, i was told i would receive it early this week.

Before my seats were allocated they said if i don't receive it before then they can organize to pick it up at a membership tent or something before the game or something so best off calling the club and while your there make sure they have your correct postage details, my old mans address was different from mine even though i ordered them both at the same time :?

The Club is very Slack and cunning in this Department. I signed up just 2 weeks a go for a Silver membership and i was given 100% Gurantee that the Card will be delivered before the Season Starts.

I called them, and now they tell me that All Cards are not ready, therefore we must arrange for a pick up on Game day

I told the club in Nov that I didn't want to sit with my ex anymore. They waited until 2 weeks ago when they rang and said all the premium seating was gone and all they'd offer was nosebleed seats at the dome and equally poor seating at the G. In the end I gave up and will have to endure another season sitting next to her and her new guy. Oh yeah and they still haven't sent me my membership. I'm seriosly considering not renewing next year....I doubt I've ever come across such incompetency :?

Yep.... same situation.

Renewed 4 Gold Memberships at the start of December, wanted better seats because at the MCG the allocated seats we had you couldn't see the screen.

After calling the club week in, week out, I finally get a call at the end of last week (about 3 1/2 months later) to confirm they couldn't improve our seats. I've been a Gold Member (that's not a joke) for 7 years and that the best they can do is to move us to the Northern Stand and that we should keep our fingers crossed for getting our memberships before the first game.

Note that the club didn't hesitate to take my $1200 odd.

Fast forward to Thursday..... the game will be packed, they'll expect us to collect our memberships from the stand, there won't be enough staff on the stand and the majority of people rocking up to see the game will be coming from work and will just be able to get there in time, so I reckon we can kiss goodbye to the first quarter

I know the club and board members read the site.......... I believe an explanation is deserved.

I thought were were past this crap.
I understand that mistakes can occasionally occur but these situations are abysmal.
The membership department should realise that members rightfully worry about this stuff and picking up cards at the game, 3 months after paying is a flowering disgrace.

If you cant deliver the service, dont take the money!!!!

I too am waiting on a membership to arrive before Thursday.
Perhaps it may be an idea to notify some of the board members that are registered with this site, to hopefully rectify some of the problems we're currently having. Cue the mods or those in the loop...

me too.

very pissed off.

tried to join in November, but wanted seats at TD moved. told to wait until Mid December. Did so. Rang back and was told they haven't allocated seats yet, and I should wait until all members seeking to renenw seats had been taken into account. Renewed eventually early january (couldn't wait anymore) and was told because I hadnt renewed in November I was late in the queue.

Left me a message last week that they COULD NOT change my seats.

Mighty pissed off, and still without a card.

Am writiing to the club.

Game on.....

Same problem here, feel like we ring Jeremy daily!

Applied for 5 gold standard seats in January, paying monthly. Money is taken out OK (of course) but all I have to show for it is a Captain Carlton membership a month ago (is that like being asked for ID? Should I be flattered?) and no reserved seats and for two other adult members of our party nothing at all.

Insert weeks of ringing and whining to Jeremy.

Late last week we were assured that everything would be reissued and that we would get it in the post on Monday.

Yep, something arrived today for the two adult members that missed out before. They have reserved seats and I hope they enjoy them, because the kids and I look like we will have to go gen admission - that is if they will let a 40 year old Captain Carlton member in!

I appreciate that it is probably a tricky job to allocate and post, but why are so many errors being reported. Whatever system they are using obviously needs looking at.

Like so many of you, I think it reflects badly on the club and does very little to inspire confidence in members to up-grade their packages to the far more expensive reserve seating.

Hope to see you all on Thurs, I'll wave my Captain Carlton flag at you.

got 3 of 4 a month ago

after a month and 2 card 'reprints', went in this morning to pick up the 3rd 'reprint' just to make sure the missing one also didn't end up in orbit with the others !!

things are better on the admin-side but still not good enough for a Club with such aspirations !

i upgraded my membership to gold this year as soon as memberships came out. After a few calls, me and my sis got our card about 1 months ago. Our seats are perfect....wing at the G and win at TD. I also got two tokens for a scarf or hat, so i've now got both...i'm very happy with the way my application was handled. :-D
