Haha, Patrick Smith is saying there needs to be a Royal Commission into tanking and match fixing. I guess the positive is he might lay off Richard Pratt for a change.

Yep, a Royal Commission. Nothing less. With special powers which compel people to testify.

Maybe bring back the star chamber while he's at it.

Watching it last night I was angry thinking what a little ferret/weasel Libba is for talking crap about his supposed 'feeling' because he is such a flowering honest guy and tanking didn't sit well with him.

But then I got up this morning and thought he and Hutchy are not worth worrying about because we have a game to play next Thursday and that to me is something to be excited about.

Not to mention this guy Judd I keep hearing about.

It will almost be worth hearing The Spew splutter and mumble about the "delusional" comment he made last year.

But as I have always said, there is only one thing lower than "The Spew" and that is absolutely nothing.

Although at the way Libratore is going he is actually looking up from there.

A bit like the special commission into the Weagles that has proven to be a waste of time. :garthp:

You may need to add Libba to your sig Agro.

What a absolute tosser,
This bloke betrays every club he's ever had relations with, just wave a buck in front of him and he will dance like theres no tomorrow.
This bloke won't work with another club ever again.
He is one of those blokes that would go runnin to his mummy if some called him names.
He is a loser that wouldn't have any friends just trying to get some attention

One thing The Spew won't ever do is admit he was wrong in any way.

He's on record, several times, saying that tanking doesn't exist, and there's no proof that it does.

So, either he has to totally backtrack on everything he's said for the last few years, or he has to stick with it, which means defending us by proxy.

I'm loving this!

Hutchy did what he was paid to do. Get max publicity for TFS. 99% of footballers and ex-coaches would have told him to @#$%&! off. Seems Carlton is attracted to hiring those 1% who don't.

ffs. well done to the mighty blues for looking out for its best interests.

now the afl can fix the system and we can move on. this is getting old really quick.

I don't think I have read a post denying tanking yet, so what are you talking about?

The Directive of the Blues would have been playing the kids and see how they play also any injuries players are no longer risked for lthe next year

This is done by all teams who cannot make the 8

So this little swine hope he gets flower sued the little prick no wonder we finally got rid of this waste of space

hows that?

NOT OUT!!!! :P

That post admits what happened.

The problem is anything of this sort is labelled "tanking" when tanking is actually when a coach or team tries to deliberatley lose a game. We are guilty of the above, no doubt.

MCG - Round 22 - 2001 was the birth place of tanking. Scum v richmond which ninthmond won.

Hird was removed from the ground at the 15 min mark of the last while scum were down by 15 points.

After the match Hird said it was a discipline thing, sheedy said it was because the game was beyond reach(get your stories straight boys). It ensured the scum didn't have to play their bogey team in the first round of the finals - TANK!

I'm pretty sure Tank Talk was about well before then, but it usually involved teams of little to no concern, like St Kilda or Freo.

Yeah you're right KK - but that was a serious event in terms of 'match fixing' rather than playing kids for experience etc.

Brian Waldron said the Saints knew that they had to lose games toward the end of the 2000 season in order to collect Reiwoldt and Kosi > Tank

Dean Laidley admitted to throwing in the towel in the 2006 (?) season by putting injured players in for surgery and playing kids > Tank!

The funniest part of it really is that the little flower claims that he is such an honest guy that was totally humiliated, etc to be involved with it all, yet he still applied to be head coach of the club.

I would love to be the lawyer cross-examining the little flower!

Expect a knee jerk reaction from the AFL by removing the Priority Pick from this years Draft.

Ninthmond now will be bleeding.

And if the AFL even dare talk about retrospective penalties etc etc - we should take every possible course of legal action to restore the Priority Picks that were screwed from us in 2002 and 2006.

Hutchison is a hack looking for a headline - as per his brief from Ch 9. He set Liberatore up beautifully and lead him into making one unprovable claim after another.

Not one probing question from Hutchison asking TL to provide facts to support his assertions.

If you ever wanted an example of appalling, tabloid style journalism, bottle that one. He should be embarrassed that he has stooped so low in something in which he once held a small semblance of credibility.

If you ever wanted an example of a lost soul burdened by a massive chip on his shoulder, reference a photo of TL.

Put Libba in front of Liz Jackson / 4 corners / any reputable journalist / and see where the interview goes.

I personally thought the whole thing was more embarrassing for the participants than it will be for the club.

There's a simple way to stop tanking talk.

Remove the draft altogether and allow clubs to recruit their own kids as they see fit.

:P
