The fact that TL even applied for the Blues top job makes me laugh. However the fact that he was ever even at our club is more of a concern. What was he supposed to bring to the table?????? Better tackling you may suggest??? Just have a look at the technique of some of our guys. Someone else suggested that we hire idiots who end up burning us.....when will we learn!!

No doubt we tanked to some degree
I didnt want the club to win to get Kreuzer
Tanking occurs and its human nature that people will bend the rules to get what they want. The AFL need to change the rules of the draft.

If you want to see the best tank check out the last quarter between Rich and STKilda.

Best tank ever.

Libba said @#$%&! all

His pissed off

Big deal
We know
Its not good
The AFL need to act now

It's times like this I am glad I don't live in Melbourne.....the local media will grab on to this and run with it until the first bounce next Thursday night (and probably beyond).

Talk about flogging a dead horse!!

My concern on the issue grows, but not from what Libba said (which was opinionated fluff) but from the likelihood that Hutchy will chase this story to "verify" his claim.

Make no mistake that every delisted Carlton player and sacked staff member over the last 3 years will be contacted by this wanker in the next few days for the follow up exclusive on TFS next week.

I'm with you Don.

We've sat back and let clowns like this take pot shots for how long now?

It's time we gave one of these c%$#s a slap.

That comment there i find most amusing, considering he mentioned it came after a MC meeting that tells me he was the only one in the room not in on it

Pretty astute decision me thinks by everyone concerned at the CFC.

Eddie and the media have evil Carlton as the only team ever to do the salary cap and tank, all the others are angels in heaven. we cheated that's we got Judd no one else ever bought players from interstate in the 80's. If it helps the other muppets deal with their own pathetic teams lack of success good luck to them.
The AFL changed the rules when Collingwood played finals tanked got Thomas and Pendelbury then played finals again, that stopped us from a PP when if ever anyone deserved one it was us.
Crutchy should have disclosed if Libba was paid for this?? and how he did he not gets his facts before the scoop interview about T-birds ankle, Fev's shoulder and groin ops, Jamieson's status as a nominated rookie, and the Scotland/Johnstone loose man in defence stat fest in R22??
It's long of teams who "just" qualified for a PP over the years

Poor Barrack Obama, if he behaved himself he would be having the best time of this life on here today

Facts are, there aren't any.

- Medical records will back up injury claims.
- List changes will show "better player" are no longer on our list in 2008
- Our Round 1 team will include most of the same kids who took spots in those last 4 rounds. Hammer, Grigg, Jamo, Jacko etc.
- Gibbs and Eddie getting more of a run in the middle

Facts are Libba was Pagans mate, only mate by the sounds of it and he just has leg to stand on when making accusations.

Paul Roos made comments heard by an official on the bench, the comments were cleared as being "jocular" just as CK95 quoted. We have nothing to answer.

Nah, the best tank ever was Collingwood against North when they were 4-5 goals up with 8 minutes to go in the game.

Its quite obvious we tanked every game last year anyway, how else do you explain Cain Ackland getting a game. Farsical.

How defensive are some of you?

The trick is dont listen to Patrick Smith..

Libba wasnt on the show for a story.. he is on it for ratings....

Thats how these things work... and yes of course you have to give it ratings and text space...

Forget it.. move on...

Who cares???

We have a premiership (or two) to win

ffs. well done to the mighty blues for looking out for its best interests.

now the afl can fix the system and we can move on. this is getting old really quick.

I don't think I have read a post denying tanking yet, so what are you talking about?

This is done by all teams who cannot make the 8

So this little swine hope he gets flower sued the little prick no wonder we finally got rid of this waste of space

The Press Conference is the right thing to do, we need to make a statement.

He's basically accused our coach of being a liar and a cheat

I love the fact that The Spew, by his past actions and comments, HAS to come out and defend us. :-D

Everything that Libba (who has to rate as probably the dirtiest player in the modern age) said can be refuted. The Club should indicate that while it isn't going to sue at this stage, it is going to investigate its legal options, and its options against anyone else who makes these claims against the club in the future. That should put the fear into some of those lowlife pricks who pretend they're journos.

The whole story is based on rumor and innuendo. Absolute beat up and the big loser is Libba. The guy will be seen to be absolutely toxic. To their credit, the Herald-Sun attempted to put his comments in context by noting he has a history of sour grapes and he has a reason to have an axe to grind – i.e., by not being offered a contract at the end of the season. Even though people maintain we absolutely tanked, I maintain that a team that has won 10 games in 3 years is not good enough to tank! And if anything, our performances improved dramatically once Pagan was sacked.

For such a long interview, there was not one shred of direct evidence. Thats from someone that sits on coaches meeting and in the box on match day. If he has no evidence as an insider, whats the story?

James Brayshaw put it into context after the interview. There's nothing new and nothing concrete.
Lets move on.
It serves Carlton right for hiring someone who showed no integrity or dignity as a player.

I don't thnk there was many Carlton supporters too happy when the little turd was signed up as assistant.

We knew what he was when he was playing and we all know a leopard doesn't change it's spots.

Good luck EVER landing another AFL job you little cauliflower - you've shat in your own nest at the Doggies and now you've shown your true colours once again.

As for that shit sucking leach in Hutchie - keep chasing ambulances and hopefully you'll fall under one.

QT Josh,

Libbas credibility is directly related to the following question.........

Would he have made the same accusations and sat in the same chair last night if he was still employed as an assistant coach at CFC?

I suspect his need to have a conscience and cleanse his soul wouldn't be quiet as strong.

In the end it's just another small speed hump on the way to 17 and that's what the rest are afraid of.

One thing is for sure, reading the papers today leaves a pretty big stain on the club.

Now that the club will be holding a press conference I hope we are able to deal with this in a dignified and expedient manner.
