Funny thing is if Massie was still on our list he'd probably be one of our best players given our situation and probably somewhere in the leadership group...

Eccles...

Always had a soft spot for Massie. Never liked that trade from the start ... even if he has never lived up to his high draft pick.

Ackland No one will trade - not even the tigers will want the box seat on this pick
Austin does not belong on this list, too young
Bannister should be looked at closely at the end of year, has to be contributing strongly to be kept
Benjamin does not belong on this list, too young
Betts should be looked at closely at the end of year
Blackwell should be looked at closely at the end of year, has to be contributing strongly to be kept
Aisake does not belong on this list, too soon to tell
Setanta has consistently produced all last year, no idea why you would consider putting him on such a list
Russell should be looked at closely the end of year, if he continues to improve certainly should keep, I wouldn't expect him to dominate at this stage, he just needs to be doing the team thing, week in and week out

Saddington should be looked at closely the end of year, has to be contributing strongly to be kept
Thornton has consistently produced all last year, no idea why you would consider putting him on such a list
Wiggins should be looked at closely the end of year, has to be contributing strongly to be kept
Jacobs does not belong on this list, too soon to tell

Ratten yes too harsh, he needs at least two years to show what he has

IMHO the rookies and young'uns would have to really f**k up to be dismissed at the end of the year, these guys are no sea monkeys, you can't just add water and expect instant champion

You are kidding right? He's probably had the worst year of his career last year. I also believe he is on notice, he hasn't really beaten anyone for a long long time. He's got a little bit of "jordan doering" in him - thinks he is better than he actually is.

Can't comment

Ackland Gorn - he shouldn't even make our first 25 this year, with the newbies on board
Austin - wouldn't write him off this year
Bannister - I'd drop someone else before him
Benjamin - wouldn't write him off this year
Betts - a great little package who can fire when called upon, but unfortunately, yes, you need to ask it of him. Was last year's #2 scorer, from memory
Blackwell
Aisake - this will be his first year on the senior list .. come on!
Setanta - are you kidding!
Russell
Saddington - would have to agree, but there might be a place on the list when Walks isn't available ..
Thornton - I had him on my must-go list at the end of last year
Wiggins - what sexual position would he be? Back door?
Jacobs -
All rookies as usual. Why put all the rookies in this barrell?

As with all posts it is up for discussion.

My comments regarding the O'halpins is that with lists at 38 there is only so long that players can live on potential and need to produce consistent AFL level performances. Unless they can do that soon they may be trouble. Harsh maybe but that is the business.
Aisake was put on list as he couldn't be a rookie anymore.

Rookies are always under the pump and unless they produce they generally are gone in one year.

I agree with you whole heartedly.

Ackland A Hack! please dont play him!
Austin Has not even had a chance yet
Bannister could be a great tagger...on his last chance
Benjamin give benji a break
Betts agree...is lazy
Blackwell we have too many of these type of players
Aisake will be good...needs an opportunity
Setanta is a legend. Will get better and scarier
Russell I rate him quite highly. Quick...good skills...a perfect HFF

Saddington is not good enough...will be gone soon
Thornton T-Bird has been good. needs support
Wiggins Wiggler and Banno are playing for the same possy.
Jacobs Hope he plays a few good games this year.

Ratten Surely Ratts has a couple of years up his sleeve

How about Bentick...he is also an also ran?

Far enough, missed Bentick, he is in the same boat.

As for Ratts I agree, but if he was to not improve the results at all this year, he may be under pressure, How long will Pratt/Swann etc give hime to prove himself??

As with Russell we can only hope Port would do a trade, I am a fan of Salopek and with him being a vic he would be great to get!

Russell is massively underrated i watched him against Port in the first NAB game and even though he only got 10 touches he laid at least 6 tackles which kept the ball in the forward line. this is what we need Betts does it once a game but we need more of it.

Not even Richmond is that stupid

The way Ackland has been working so hard this preseason, I’m sure he deserve a bit more encouragement from us supporters, I got this strange feeling that he will be a player to be reckon with if not in the ruck then in the forward line this season.
