That's true, but the polyester version consistantly reflects the light and appears lighter than the old one. It's the same with teams like Essendon* with their black looking faded, it's the sheen as opposed to the colour. But seeing SOS in that old dark matte strip sure looks the goods as far as I'm concerned.


True, that's the point I made in my first post in this thread. You would be surprised how different materials and fabrics react under different lighting conditions, let alone different colours.

Somewbody forgot to explain that the original Jumpers were Navy Blue dyed WOOL!!!

These current modern jumpers could never be as blue!!

I had a woollen one and trained in it. We all played in woollen ones in those days as well. It was bloody uncomfortable to the nth degree. I had to wear a teeshirt under it or it irritated me to the point of distraction when it was wet with sweat or rain. I did love it, though.

It appears we have a problem in our suburb, here in Mexico with vandals. Some bastard painted the entrance doors to the block of land next to our house. (see avatar) Investigations continue. 8)
