CW isn't right. How can you prove a team tanked that had won the previous two wooden spoons?

You can't prove it but I know it's true and so do you.

I just don't know. So far this pre-season we are showing the same characteristics, 10min fade outs where we are blown away.

Oh look we may have lost every game regardless we are still a long way off. It will take some time to recover from the Pagan era. He left us with no defense! Thornton that's it.

This is the same journo who said Judd would never come to Carlton in a million years, and if he did, we'd need to give up Pick 1.3, Fev and more to get him....

Great call again Caro !

Actually very early in the piece when Judd said he was leaving the Eagles, she said in a very definitive manner that she knew that Chris Judd will be at Carlton and he will be captain.

It was about a week or two later that she started giving up other scenarios, presumably to heigthten the specualation at the time and to sell more newspapers.

I'm positive that she and many other journalists knew Judd would be at Carlton all along.

All in all she is still sore that Carlton beaten her beloved Richmond for the services of Kreuzer, as she said in her own words the Blues not only were rewarded for tanking by gaining the best tall young footballer to emerge in the national draft for several years, but untried coach Brett Ratten won a coaching contract on the back of six successive losses, its just sore grapes that’s all it is.

Absolutely! In fact Terry Wallace said after the last game in 07 that he felt compromised knowing that a win would be worse for his side in the long term than a loss.

Taking Carro's line of thinking, that is tantamount to cheating. Funnily enough, richmond lost a game it could have won.

You're also all correct about North and Collingwood and you can bet your life it will continue to happen until they alter the rules.

Collingwood were the reason they changed the rules re 1st round priority picks. They changed the rules mid season IIRC.

She doesn't like to mention (nor does any other journalist) how the hell we were rewarded inn 2006 with Picks 1 and 17 and 19 when we had finished bottom of the ladder for 2 years in a flowering row.

If it had of been any other club but us who were right royally reamed by this retrospective and blatant change in the Draft Rules to flower us and by stealth deliver to us another draft penalty - then you can imagine the bleating and whinging that would have ensued.

And by god I am sure you wont see anything from the keyboard of this bitch when Richmond qualify for the Priority Pick this year.

On 3AW prior to Juddy announcing he was leaving WC, she was on radio saying there was no way he would ever leave the Weagles.

Laughed at everyone who thought it possible  .

OK, we admit it.

We tanked!

So what?

What are you going to do about it?

Move on. Nothing to see here.

Everyone remembers the filth tanking in 05, but the artists of the tank are the dawks - back to back in 04 and 05 - they made an art of it when the qualification was just one year. There was a game in 05 against bitchmond where they led by a couple of goals with a minute remaining and allowed bitchmond players to use them as witches hats to win the game - even Dermott who was a board member in those years, on air, said the dawks wanted to load up on talent.

No mention of the filth, dawks, or her pathetic mob in 04 of tanking.

No matter what she says, we have Kreuzer & Judd now and the bitchmond have Greg Miller spruiking, "we were in with a big chance of securing Judd's services"

Lets not forget Melbourne in 04 who made the finals either side of that season.

She's right. She could have picked another team in relation to tanking but she chose us as we were the most recent to do it.
AFL should change the stupid draft rules and scrap the pre-season.

I heard that interview Duke & it was pre-game he said that & considering he had 3 of his best onballers on the bench with J. Bowden plus Polak dropping a sitter in the goal square in the final minutes you do the maths!

Spot on JB, it was pre-game that he said it. They then went about securing pick 18.

A richmond mate of mine says 'tanks' in place of 'thanks' whenever I do anything for him. I reply with 'you're Juddcome' .

Hang on a second. She accuses us of tanking, when there is actually no evidence that this occured. Isn't that defamatory?

Not a bad article from CW...we did tank but its the AFL's fault as suggested, I can never understand why we dont embrace the NBA lottery system, or does the AFL just not want to admit we have a problem...

I don't think the AFL could handle the criticism if a team with the least chance of winning the lottery did, and the bottom placed team didn't have a pick inside the Top 2.

Scrap the priority picks and the problem would be greatly reduced.

We already have a lottery - it's called the draft. Richmond had picks 1 and 3 and decided not to take Franklin or Roughead  .

Nothing they do can help idiots like the tiggers.
