They are contracted.
For how long?

Another four years.

Flash is ristricting trade IMO. Many large organisations prohibit their employees from intalling software on their workstations and a lot of the Flash software is not standard software on a workstation's image. I know a lot of people caught in this scenario and they cannot read the AFL websites at work due to all the Flash Viewing software that needs to be installed. It is not a very good web strategy.

At least they can visit this site.

Flash kills potentially good websites imo.

Yeah it was wild in 1999, but these days its over used.

We use it on my Company's website, and when I show the designer the site on dial up, it becomes obvious that it has its drawbacks in general.

There are shitloads of dial up and slow speed customers. I come from a Telco Marketing background, and I know the uptake figures of boadband ad new technology is a creative configuration and certainly not reality.

I don't visit the Telstra (AFL) site anymore...haven't doneso for a while...too cumbersome.

The CFC website (recent version) is the best it has been, but actually shits me for a lot of reasons. In fact I stopped visiting the webite prior to the draft. It doesn't feen my insatiable appetite for all things Carlton.

Is that when the contract runs out?

That's the length of time of Deluca and Freeborn will stay on Carlton's playing list - Blues' 2008 list.

They're rookies

I have noticed that the Carlton Players Profiles are up the pat on the Carlton Website.

I haven’t gone through all the players’ profiles but one that its noticeable is Jordan Russell listed as a one carrier gamer and while you are at it just take a look at the Rookie list.

Now what about Michael Jamieson, the HeraldSun’s website has him on the senior list, while the Carlton website still has him as a Rookie.

Has the site gone weird today...I'm only get a "news" story listing and then once I select an article, it jumps to the article for a second and then I get a blank page with a .gif saying loading...and that's it??

Very strange...Monday morning gremlins perhaps (and you know they are the nastiest ones!)

They're obviously still fixing the thing, which is a bit ordinary considering the season's only a few weeks away. It says Deluca and Freeborn are still on our list FFS!

Carlton need to do what the bombers do and run their own website as well as the one controlled by the AFL and Bigpond

When comparing the crap we see with current web standards, everything appears to have gone out the window

If the club want to design their own website, then I am willing to volunteer in that area or provide assistance. My specialty.

I'll happily click on CFCTV/Mike & Dans player interviews/Ghost links that are provided here but I am boycotting the the AFL/Carlton sites in protest.
I know the club profits from 'clicks' but enough is enough! Absolute rubbish!!

When I was trying to read articles last week, the links didn't go to the specified article.

Our club's website has been a disgrace for too long. I agree with the suggestion we create a parallel venue.
