I'm feeling sick.

I don't need to feel like this; I wish I didn't log on.

Tell me it's not true.

If this is not true Gavro must be held accountable for making us all sick to death for nothing. Who needs this stress?

If you'd thought about it logically you wouldn't have been stressed in the first place.

I must admit to feeling VERY anxious reading this thread. Holding out hope that it's not true and that it's just "precautionary".

Best wishes to Stevo, hope all will be fine.

I said from the beginning that this came from a very reliable source but that it wasnt confirmed.

For the 10th time, i hope my source is WRONG!!!

@#$%&! me, we're a stereotypical bunch aren't we...

IF it is something, the club will be exploring all options to get him up and going for the year. The Swannies are into plastic ligaments, Chicky chopped his finger off, Gia did his ACL and played last year - same with Nick Riewoldt who has done his ACL but will most likely play a game or two early on (just don't expect to see him kicking over 30 metres).

IF it is nothing, i.e. just a bit of soreness - maybe a nerve or something - then the club will keep him out of the public eye and poke and prob as necessary to get him going.

The sky is not necessarily falling, but feel free to assume the worst so that IF it does eventuate, you can sit back and say that you KNEW this would be the case.

Like a few on here - tried to find out what I could. The response I got was -

"...he goes to the specialist after each game! And will continue to do so sporadically throughout the year. Was a bit sore after the Hawthorn game..."

Now that makes perfect sense. His injury - as I stated last year - has cut short the careers of other athletes and personally - I was surprised to see him go so hard so early. Hopefully the 'soreness' is something that will go away soon.

This would be terrible.

The reality is however, even if he is ok, the chances are because of the neck injury he would be unlikely to be one of those mids who plays well into their 30s. More likely he will hang up the boots in 3 years. as opposed to in 6 years.
