A fully blown CT scan isn't a week long procedure - more like a day or two tops to get results - so unless he has only noticed later in the week and had it scanned then, his specialist and the club would definitely have the results... if it as bad as it sounds, you'd think he and the club would act upon it straight away.

If I can get in contact with them, I may be able to speak to someone who could categorically confirm or deny this injury. Fingers crossed, I'll try as soon as the old man is off the dog and bone...

Spoke to 2 Bullants boys since I read this 10 mins ago. He didn't train on friday with the group.

But that said... if there was something going on, the playing group would know. The club would be doing a massive job to keep this quiet if true. Weeded out the sneaky leakers if thats the case.

Why did I log on tonight ........ I feel crook!!

The supergoal on the siren is something to hang hope on Stevo being OK.

He played 2 full games with it last year didn't he, so I'm not sure him playing out the Hawthorn game means an awful lot tbh.

Like everyone else I hope he's ok.

All the best Stevo.

I too hope that my source is wrong.

All i can say is that im not taking the piss here.

Why would you deny taking the piss if no one has accused you of it?

Also, why would Stevens be talking retirement this early, before the scans are back?

And weren't you a pro-active tanker last season pretty early on in the season, who's now using the possibility of a Stevens injury to tank again this season?

Who's your source?

If this is in fact bogus, and there is an agenda, I think we just found it.

From what i was told. Precautionary after he felt soreness after the match. Naturally he was very concerned due to the trauma he went through last year. BUT in saying all of that its expected that everything will be ok and will be right for round 1.

Yeh mate sources are pretty good. Likewise pretty close to Nick but the way i heard it was that while he was naturally fearing for his career due to what happened last year not neccessarily due to the severity of this injury. I guess we'll just need to wait n see?

Now, wouldn't it be absolutely hilarious if Gavroman and Chips have the same source?

April Fool's may have come early this year...

My VERY reliable sources have advised that Nick Stevens took a very hard knock to the neck region last week and is undergoing tests tomorrow. Apparently he is in a lot of pain and if the results this week are negative he will be calling it quits. He is very down at the moment and thinks its more than likely over.

Can anyone 'in the know' confirm this?

is this the same source that told you richard branson was gonna put south melbourne hellas into the a-league

if someone has dodgy hamstrings and they feel tight after a game, doesnt the club do everything it can to put that player in 'cotton wool' during the week??? im sure this is the same thing.

and Go the Melbourne VICTORY!!!
