Unfortunately I accidentally ditched the data that built the graph below when I switched computers and I can't be arsed compiling it again but based on that graph we've never been above 20,000 by today's date (though we probably were in 2003 but there was a dearth of data around the same point).

This date last year's not on the graph but according to the Herald Sun on the 21st of Feb last year we were on 19532.

So...

...if we're at 26,500 today (that's 35% up on last year!) we're going to absolutely spank the record and go beyond 40,000 reasonably comfortably. :-D

And when Judd runs out in his Navy Blue outfit, watch the membership tent rumble!

Potentially stupid question from a first-time member (who rarely reads the instruction manual as it distracts from the shiny new toy - or membership card)...

Can I just roll up round one and expect to get in?

Crusader depends what membership you have and if it is a ticketed game then you need to reserve a seat. If your membership is say Gold with a reserve seat you can just roll up otherwise you need to book a seat.

The game is at the MCG, so I doubt you would HAVE to buy a reserved seat. Of course, if Juddy does turn out in the Navy Blue, the only available seats could well be Level 4 Rows T-Z. :-D Take your binoculars!

Cheers (and Mrs Caz)... it says "Silver Adult 11" so I had better lock in a seat then.

Now, I promise you will only have to tell me once... I promise I will 'pay it forward' one day... how do I go about that?

Apologies if this is all spelled out in the membership pack, but I have a shiny new card!!!... Maybe they could write "to reserve your seat call ..." on the back of it next year.

Just heard from Greg Swan on SEN stating our membership is almost at 28,000. Quite a few members from last season haven't signed on yet, and the Blues will be hoping to chase them up. :)

No probs CB! Always handy to have a radio at work that's constantly on SEN so that I can catch up on footy news.

If we don't have more than 30000 members by the time round 1 turns up, I'll go he.

Anyone else lodge their forms back in 1st week of december, still waiting for their package to arrive but also still receiving correspondence from the club as late as yesterday trying to convince me to sign on for 2008? :? :?

I phoned the club a few weeks back when i received a similar reminder, just to check that they do have our original froms (family membership for 4 with premium gold seating) & was told that they had & our parcel would arrive in the mail soon.

Very strange tracking systems in the membership department I have to say - not entirely professional unfortunately.

I signed up the first day the membership came online. Haven't received anything as yet. Rang the club 3 times since, and they've said they'll send it again. Still waiting though. Not desperate for it. Just as long as it arrives before Round 1, I'll be happy.

I renewed my membership online the Monday before the Port game, and it only took about a week to arrive.

Go figure. :?

Still disappointed that no membership extras (voucher etc) have not been sent to those with an AFL membership
