Not sure if he has done something to it, Twiggers says it's the residual soreness that takes time.

I am pretty confident he will be back relatively soon, but this 'Round 12' talk is what bothers me, tells me they have no idea when he'll be right, and that is a genuine concern surely.

From carltonfc.com.au...

Q.People at Carlton seem to be pretty sure of what they’re going to get from you. You seem to be coming along pretty well at the moment.
A.Yeah okay, it’s been pretty slow to be honest. I mean, I’m still not fully training.

Q.Did you think you’d be more advanced than where you are?
A.Yeah I thought that by after Christmas I’d be up [to] 100 per cent sort of thing, so it’s been slow, but I’m doing everything I can.

So, in short, he is over a month behind schedule, and doesn't know when exactly he will be fine.

Yeah, all is swell guys.

I think we're all a bit concerned about the state of Judd's injury mate, but there's no point stressing.

He and the club are doing all they can to get him right - if it means he has to sit the season out, then so be it.

But we don't know either way at the moment, so let's just wait and see, OK?

I've had OP. It's very frustrating because it's never black and white. It's not that you can or you can't do something, it just restricts you to different degrees. It's very hard when the coach comes to you and asks if you can play, because the truth is you can, but you just can't play to your normal ability.

Last season Judd played while really restricted. In hindsight maybe he shouldn't have played.

He may always be 5% restricted based on his previous abilities. He may be 25% restricted this year then fine next year. Let's just wait and see before anyone gets too hysterical. We don't know, the rumour mongers on bigfooty certainly don't know and in the end the doctors and Judd himself don't really know.

Let's just wait and see. In the end it is something that can normally be fixed given enough dedication (something I didn't have) and the right support. He probably won't be 100% by round 1, but that's not a disaster, and certainly not a reason for the doom and gloomers to get all worked up.

I'm not trying to be all doom and gloom, just being realistic, and the reality is things are not great right now... but hopefully he will improve soon.

You have to define what great means VB. Because from where I am sitting, I am pretty pleased with how everything is going at the club. Not to mention the other players that make up the team.

The Judd situation will work itself out. There are 45 days to go before the season kicks off.

He's not a month behind schedule. He's a month behind where he thought he'd be.

You're quick to point out none of us are experts on TC. Judd isn't one either

He's not the first player to think they'd be ahead of where they actually are.

Didn't Ball have the same surgery at approximately the same time? I heard the other day on the radio he's just started running...

VB, there's plenty of time before the season starts and Judd wasn't going to play until March anyway... so let's give it some more time.

Did Judd actually have OP? Did he have an adductor release (similar to what J Brown had, and a few others this pre season such as Ball and Rocca?)

What I meant was, his groin is not going great right, given he is over a month behind schedule and doesn't know when he will be right. I don't see how this is unreasonable.

Can all the nervous Nellies relax!!!!

My sources tell me that he is going according to schedule and hes just overcoming the last bit....
He should be 100% to go round 1.. and will be eased soon.. when the clubdoctors/surgepns is completely satisfied he should be eased in..

At the moment he is trekking where he should be.

3AW ratings are a bit soft in the "bogans and no-shows" demographic - nothing like a "Judd will never play again rumour" to get "Filth" and "Scum" supporters to switch back from SEN.

I'll take people in the know (they know who they are  ) over the sooks and whingers any day.

On circa $1-$1.2 million p.a., I wish I could be so relaxed about "sitting the season out".......

When we crack 40,000 members - the extra 5000 members will take care of half that and Number 5 jumper sales will take care of the other half. :P

According to SEN this arvo, the rumours were put to Ratten today who denied them.

So are they back already...or was that a post game interview that they referred to on SEN?

I may have some work to do!

Thanks for that.

All I wanetd was to get some inside oil from someone, who can make me feel better about the Juddster.

Thanks again, have eased my mind considerably (if not totally  ).

Synbad's info is what makes the most sense when you do the math.

That being:

1) Judd is the best player in the land who can pick and choose from the very best of the best surgeons in the world.

2) Judd is an absolute professional, and we all know his body is a temple. He eats right, and will jog 5km to work off anything he deems junk food.

3) No one packs more discipline than Chris Judd. He will not jeopardize his recovery in any way like many other young footballers.....

If anyone will overcome this type of injury, it will be Chris Judd..
