Your assistance required

I am overjoyed that my boys have made the final, but concerned

The thing is though I would dearly love to be there, I am a superstitious type, and I havent been able to attend any pooter games so far, so wonder if my attending will throw the good vibes we've got going?

not that I overrate my importance at all - but it makes you think....

Your thoughts??

yeah I hate this, I've been to every game so I must go, if not it'll be my fault if they lose. It's like when I'm listening on the radio if we lose I shouldn't have listened, my fault. Or if I can't get to a game and we lose, my fault again. But these examples ARE ONLY IF THE GAME IS CLOSE. NEVER IN BLOWOUTS.

PROBLEM IS MEL - I THINK THIS GAME WILL BE CLOSE.

So come along but if we get pipped by a couple of points I'm blaming you!!!!!

we have similar things at home - can never tape the game until after its been played - if we ever tape the game live we loose....

I dont want to be responsible....

No, my mate's sister is the jinx! Every time she rolls up we get done... She is n't online as far as I know, but if she is, she knows exactly what I am talking about. She needs to stay home. Everyone else feel free to go to the game unimpeded...

If you want omens, here's a good one: Not a single WC match that Carlton has played in has been shown live, and I've been busy each and every weekend. This weekend's no different, so I expect that we'll win, no problems, let alone the fact that we're good enough to win!

I've been taping all the games thus far on my PVR, and on all three occassions, the recording has been interupted, so I've lost it.

Do I record this week???

Every time I go to the toilet at the footy, Carlton gets a goal. Now this leaves two options, spend the entire game in the toilet while we kick 60 goals, OR ... find a spot where I can see the game and ...

Well, at least I am not the only one!!!

problem is, i dont have Fox and my chance to tape the game usually has passed so i cant watch it on the box. although, i think we can feel safer this year about setting the VCR and running the risk of cursing the boys as i am sure we should win more than lose.

(getting cocky is also another superstition of mine, but you can't help yourself at the moment!!! )

I also have a dilemma about the game. Being an AFL member means I can't sit with all the TC folk this week and so far we've won the games sitting together. What does one do? :?

It's obvious, isn't it? Spend the cash on a seat with TCers, then put a few bucks on us to win, which will pay you back for the seat when we do...(and I'll split any profits with you - after beers are taken into account of course 8) )

Ahh... its all bunkum.

Melle........ we have a good solid team in top form. If we win, its because we're the better team. If they win, well, they've got a bloody good team too.

I look for long-term "vibe" to satisfy me. The "vibe" is strong. We look good. Even if we lose this, it doesn't matter, because the future is still there.

I say get your arse down for what will be an awesome night!

(and plus, if we lose, we'll go into the season more hungry than ever  )

KK lovely thought, but there is no way I'm giving the AFL anymore money, besides you guys are sitting on the opposite wing and Barney will miss me too much

Over the last couple of years I have put our Carlton gnome on the coffee table to watch the Blues with me, on the rare occasions they were on FTA TV. (Sad isn't it?)

But this season so far I have left him on the floor, out of site of the telly, and we have won every game.

I think I will be keeping him on doorstop duty, just in case.
