I recieved this query from a friend who is writing an artlcle

Quote:
Do any of you guys know if there were any Carlton players in history that were tradesmen (plumbing, electricity, building). Doing some research for an article, thought what better way to go than to ask the fans. famous players, the Syd Jackson, wayne harmes calibre.
Cheers

The only ones that I knew were McConville and Peter Dean were electricians. Someone also suggested that Camporeale was also a Sparky.
Can anyone help with any others (I know my friend is also interested in Ruckmen)

Paul Meldrum was a tradesperson from memory - maybe Warby or Agro might remember?

Or a builder.

DeIulio fell off the roof at work and severed the ligaments in his thumb after grabbing the gutter to save his ass.

I think Campo was doing an apprenticeship as a Lift Mechanic before he was drafted, but he quit because his lifts would only run one way.

I'm not sure if it's a trade per se, but Cain Ackland shits bricks in ruck contests.
