Get a grip brother, seriously.

I am no shit stirrer, and as far as I can tell you don't have any information, so I think the thread has merit until someone with information can tell us all is cool in the house of Judd.

Sorry. VB. I didn't mean it as an attack on you, it was just that I dont want to worry about it right now.

Anyone who heard Greg Swann on 3aw tonight will know this rumour is shit. Swann basically confirmed Judd will be captain. There's no way they'd make him Captain if he was going to sit out half a year or a whole year due to groin problems. Enough said, Juddy will be back to his best against the Saints. (It is very hard for anyone t o play at their best against Richmond as they are so shit).

Things seem to be OK.

MODEL, speech pathology student and the face of this year's Melbourne Festival of Racing, Rebecca Twigley is more than happy to talk about her passion for the track. Twigley has been a regular at the Spring Racing Carnival with partner and star Carlton recruit Chris Judd. In her first official role since moving from Perth to Melbourne the 25-year-old says she can't lose. "I think it is fantastic for Victoria to have a new racing festival on the calendar," she said. "The racing will be of the highest calibre and there'll be a plethora of fantastic fashion events and lunches." Not bad work if you can find it. Twigley has a "keen interest" in thoroughbred racing, partly due to Judd's part-ownership in the Lee Freedman-trained horses Cefalu, Key Dynasty and — wait for it — New Kid in Town.

Channel 10 news over here started a story on Carlton in South Africa with the revelation that Chris Judd won't be playing this weekend because his groin hasn't responded as was hoped, then proceeded to show him running freely and kicking  Never mind the fact that he was never going to play! Round 3 of NAB Cup is when he will have his first run apparently.

Seems like everything is on track, just like the club and track watches have been telling us. Bring on Round 1.

Just heard on SEN that Rebecca said his groin is at 90%. You'd think she'd know. Maybe we should ask her to check for us all

Can't believe she's older than Judd.

Judd definitely won’t get his chance either in Saturday’s exhibition match against Fremantle in Pretoria or in the early rounds of the NAB Cup, with the champion onballer struggling to shake off the effects of an adductor injury.

He admitted he hasn’t recovered as quickly as he would have liked.

“It’s been pretty slow to be honest,” he said.

“I thought that by after Christmas I’d be up [to] 100 per cent sort of thing, so it’s been slow but I’m doing everything I can.”

Seems the rumours I heard were on the money. In today's Herald Sun Judd confirms that his groin has come along slower than expected, and that he has no idea when he will be ready to roll, at one point even saying it is possible he will never play again (although he does say that outcome is unlikely).

I doubt they are true.... His goal is for RD 1, hopefully with a couple of hitouts leading up to it.

:garthp:

he is 90% right - has residual soreness and yes is slightly frustrated at it taking longer than expected

i told you this the other day and then that was said on the radio also

juddy isnt going to give it all up to a reporter in SA

Oh we have a wise guy in the building.

My point is, a few posters acted like there could never possibly be anything wrong, but it indeed would appear his groin has not progressed as expected.

It's as simple as that.

Not trying to grandstand, just trying to point out that the rumours were true and therefore the thread had some merit.

Is this inside info? If so, then I am relieved and thanks for passing it on.

However, judging by what Judd said - that it may never be right and he doesn't really know when it will be right - I would suggest it's not just a matter of slight residual soreness, judging by what Judd has said.
