No, for two reasons.

The co-captain concept is not my cup of tea.

I would not like Stevens to be captain.

I voted yes ... better co-captains than a Captain and Vice-Captain .. this way they both have an equal say .. but I still reckon that will open up for Judd to be Captain on the basis of Nick's injury a-la Joey Johns ...

just my $0.02 worth

Nothing personal to Stevens but I think it is time for a new start and Judd has the experience.

I'd only be happy with co-captains if it was Simpson/Carazzo.

It may be the best option.
Judd will be the best on field option....the players would follow him off a cliff if he asked them to.
But he may not want the off field roles that come with captaincy. We saw that last year where Lance was masquerading as captain yet couldnt or wouldnt put 2 words together off field.

Full credit to Stevens, he missed the captaincy role but didnt sook about it. He took on the off field duties and represented the club well. He shouldnt be expected to do that again because the captain only wants to do half the job.

If Juddy wants to take on the full responsibility of captaincy, great.
If not, there should be 2 players filling the role.

I think its a fallacy that Judd isn't interested in the captaincy.

He wasn't interested at West Coast at the time he was appointed because of the circumstances of Cousins removal and because he knew it would make it harder for him to return to Victoria at the end of his contract.

Things change.

Hopefully we'll know either way when the decision is made.

I missed it.

Widely speculated in the media prior to Judd choosing Carlton (as in, I wouldn't be interested in captaining any team I choose to join) and FWIW, I reckon it's bollocks as well...

My opinion though, I don't think co-captains is that great an idea - but if there were to be two captains, you'd have to choose Judd and Stevens. Both lead by example on the field, in their training and their off-field manner. Two experienced players the younger kids can look up to, Stevens dues to his 8-odd playing years and Judd with his Finals and leadership experience.
