Richmond arent as shit as they appear. Terry Wallace is, but thr Tigers do have some fairly decent players on their list.

For example,...... Richo.
He has more skill than most give him credit for, but it's his sooky la-la antics and the fact he constantly wants to check himself out on the bigscreen that people notice most! Under a good coach (like a paul roos or Leigh Mathews) he could be easilly the most damaging forward.

Coughlan, i am a big fan off, is back and fit and ready to go.

Deledio will have an easier time this year, much like murphy.

They recruited well and Cotchin, whilst still in rehab, will play alot of games next year and have an impact.

Plus they have a few players coming back from injury.

But with that said, we effectivly will start this match with 2 a-list recruits in Nick Stevens and Chris Judd. HUGE difference.

It's tighter than everyone thinks. At the moment Carl vs Rich is 50-50 I reckon. There's a lot of hype about us this year which is fantastic and I;m not complaining, but a lot of it will be proven to be hot air. We're coming but we ain't there yet.

We will be clear favourites at the TAB, but Round 1 throws up a lot of furphys and this game could be one of them.

I agree with Ratten not to focus on the NAB cup, but in past years the fact that we did well in it had us primed and ready for Round 1 - that's why we won last year. This year's long-sighted preparation will hold us in good stead for 22 rounds, but we will not be tip-top in Round 1 - it will be the 1st time the best 22 play together.

I don;t bet on footy, and if I did I wouldn;t bet against our mighty old darks, but I'd tell my un-blue mates that Richmond are a good value bet for this game. We're probably just favourites, but they'll be good value.

yeh .. like I said on the When is the game in South Africa thread, it's not exactly on during prime-time

It's only a praccie / exhibition match anyway .. they don't usually televise praccies, let alone exhibition matches .. probably won't even make Sehth Efricken TV ..

It's Sunday - update it already!! :P

What's up with all this "it'll be a tight contest" crap - sorry guys, but if we can't dispose of Richmond by at least 4-5 goals then we haven't really gone anywhere at all, have we?

Round 1 will set us up for the season, we need to start off against last years spooners with a decent effort.

Carlton by 17 goals. :-D

With talk of tanking already for this year, we'll find out Wednesday night (Thursday morning) if it was the loss we had to have, or if it was just a matter of the better team winning on the day

By the way, could someone with foxtel please record the stats for the match, or at least the goal-kicking details ... cheers!

A loss first up to Freo - OUR SEASONS RUINED!

I'm tearing up my membership I haven't received yet, dropping a ton of chicken shit on PP's doorstep and jumping on the tanking bandwagon.

BRING ON 2009!!

I know it doesn't auger well, and the Who Cares starts this week, anyways (I don't hold much hope in this given the recent extended travels) so we should be able to concentrate on the season-proper

I hope, anyway

As long as no Carlton player is injured, we utilise the game plan during the practices/pre-season cup, all the kids get a crack, and everyone gels together as a team - i couldn't give a flying rat's ass about the score...

Round 1, now there is something different. :-D

Hey - should we perhaps put our finest on the field should we make the NA B Cup Final? Or should we concentrate more on R1? Or is this question bound to put the mozz on and I should just stf up?
