Thats ok - I am cheesed with the Interstate Membership package value - for instance, I get a Silver Interstate with 5 free games - except I need to go to melbourne to use them - why can't our club do a deal with the local interstate clubs to allow us a free ticket to that game?

Hawthorn's similar membership package lets them have free games in Brisbane

I thought "Includes free general admission to any 5 Carlton games home and away, members kit and other benefits listed under member benefits" meant exactly that koutahoota - but if not, glad I didn't get that this year!

Wow - that's news to me - I dug out my membership renewal details and see that statement - I will check with the club and update this thread.

We can't complain here. The entire playing group (more or less) came here to Cancun last year and held several functions in various venues.

Unfortunately, the Mexican member wasn't at any of them...

And I still can't renew my membership, despite the new improved and easier way of doing it.

Hawthorn members are in a different situation because of the interstate "home" games they play. They get entry to some other matches because of it. I understood the 5 games to be 5 Carlton Home games.

Email the membership dept BS, they'll probably be able to help you that way.

FYI - summary from the membership dept:

Silver Long Distance 5 entitles you to attend 5 home or away games in Melbourne as General Admisson with the opportunity to purchase tickets to games in your home state; so does include GABBA.

I am in Brisbane as well, when I renewed I was told that we do get 'Free' entry to the brisbane game but will need to pay the reserved seat cost as well, its just the admission that is covered not the seat.
So i assume that we will get reduced cost for a reserved seat as we shouldn't be paying admission as part of the seat cost.

Back in the 1980's there was a lot more old growth forest as well.

Might have been better if those old growth forests in Tassie had been logged though!

Much cleaner environment. Who say's logging is bad?

Thanks Mrs Caz, but I finally did it. Don't know what I did differently but I am pleased to announce I am signed and sealed for 2008. I would love to be known as a Mexican member but I have to use a Tassie address to make sure the stuff gets to me before the season starts. So I am counted as a Tassie member.

Speaking of memberships I have been an interstate blue member for the last few years (I know but I'm a student). this year I pay for my interstate membership and I am a 'Blue Barracker.' Plus, this costs more than last time...

Having been a barracker my whole life, it has never cost me a cent!
I dont see why we have to pay to not be members now, if you know what I mean :x

(sorry to be whinging...) :(
