And the winner is

Judd 64 (voting seems to have stalled on the news that he would not want the gig anyway)
Stevens 58
Simpson 50
Murphy 38
Fevola 21
Carrazz 6
Waite 3*
Walker 2
Fisher 1
Carlos 1

or would be, if it were based on what we think at this point in time

* disputed .. although it doesn't appear to be that important yet

Like most good leaders, their actions speak louder than their words.

Andrew Symonds would probably arrive at Carlton and say he wanted to be the captain. Judd has more class and more dignity than to make conceited comments in public.

Judd started leading by example the moment he chose to come to Carlton.

He could have taken the easy option and picked Richmond  or Collingwood. But he chose to join Carlton at pretty close to their worst. New coach, young list, he can be a part of something new, and hopefully something big.

He's the man to lead our club, for sure.

I thought Waite might have fared a little better. Third in the B&F last year. Or does that merely mask the fact that our list is still a long way off?

Nope, 2+2 = Judd.

1+1 = Judd

10 + (12 to the power 20) x (the square root of 942) / 3 = Judd

Everything is JUDD!!! 8)

Based on that, Judd should be captain.

Which brings us to Newton's Laws.

III. For every Judd there is an equal and opposite Richmond Player.

I'm pretty sure that no such Richmond player exists.

I reckon he does.

Just think of how good JUDD is, and, using that scale as a guide, find a Richmond player that reaches those heights, but instead of being good, he reaches those heights in being shit.
