Let the record show that VB voted for Juddy and BB voted for Stevo. We could both be wrong though. They may go for a wildcard to diffuse the issue of having to choose one or the other. Let Juddy settle in and give Stevo time to see if he actuallly gets over his injury. My tip is Simmo. We will see soon enough.

It's interesting that Judd is polling so well and is seen by all and sundry [obviously not everyone on TC], given that as Captain of the Weagles, it would safe to assume that he didn't really lead his team by example as we all know what has been going on there.

Some of his team-mates didn't respect him enough to follow his work ethic, yet our boys are assumed that they would.

Cousins has always been the spiritual leader. I'm not suggesting that he led the team astray though.

But no doubt Judd led on the field.

They won a premiership with Judd as captain and a club doesn't do that with lazy players who don't train hard and eat the right things. Eagles players like Cousins were addicts long before Judd was captain, and despite the obvious negative effects on their off field behaviour and long term health from drugs like E, it doesn't have a serious negative effect on fitness levels, stamina and ability to play the game. Actually the opposite might actually be true with some suggesting that Ecstasy actually improves a persons stamina for short periods... which leads us don't another road that leaves a significant question mark over West Coast's premiership.

How come there isn't a 'Wiggins' option?

I think Stevo should be Captain and let Judd do what he does best while he settles into his new Club.

Truth be told I was tempted to stick in an Ackland option.

I don't understand why Judd is such a walk-in.
Surely give it to someone who has played a game for the club before.
I love that we have Judd, but lets not drop the ball here.

Judd is the only option. How can you have a premiership player, brownlow medallist, mvp, norm smith medallist in your team, without being captain?

The three most likely candidates, Judd, Stevens, Simpson, have their strengths in different categories.

The off field stuff is as important as on the field stuff.
