Come on guys...

How can you go past selling candy to Matthew Lloyd up on the wing? :-D

One other piece of play that stood out for me was against Melbourne, where he had about touches on the HFF before kicking a long goal, then ran back to the centre doing the fist pump (was it a double fist pump?).

Its moments like those you hope his enthusiasm rubs off on everyone else.

I think you will find this was against the bulldogs, but he didn't kick the goal?

Looks like the first one, but I thought he kicked the goal and I still think it was Melbourne :P

I see Setanta as the bloke to build our defence around. His commitment, work ethic and passion should be the model for the others to follow.

Our key position stocks are hardly world beating, so Setanta would have first dibs alongside Thornton and Waite possibly to nail down a spot and turn that back six into something resembling a decent backline.

Setanta is tall, strong, agile, athletic and competitive, so he will be given every chance. Remember, he has only played about 30 or so games, so he's probably a year off becoming a decent, consistent backman. 2008 could be a watershed year for the big lad.

Aisake is less certain for obvious reasons, none more so than the fact we have Kreuzer and Hampson developing in the ruck. I have not seen enough of Irish 2 to be able to say whether he can make it as a CHB or CHF type. I would suggest he will probably play the bulk of 2008 in the Twos, but that might not necessarily be a red cross for him.

Having been a regular watcher of the Bullants last year I would clearly have Aisake ahead of Hampson. I think Hampson has upside but lets not get carried away with one of the lowest tempo games ever being Rnd 22 last year against Melbs.

I second this post.

I like Hampson,..... But Aisakie is further ahead in terms of development imo.

Aisakie, for mine, should start as our #1 ruckman next year (perhaps alongside Cloke). Piss off Ackland.

If you mean 2008, then I agree.

Aisake made great progress as the year went on in 2007; bad luck about the injury...and that injury my friends I believe gave Hampson his opportunity in Rnd 22.

Take note Aisake is is more developed than some give him credit for, and will only get better.

Ryan and Bondi, agree totally. Sake will surprise many this year. And I cant wait to see how Setanta reacts to having his bro in the team. They are very close. Setanta can't talk highly enough of his bro. Thinks he will be better than him.

I can't see him starting in the ruck, his ruckwork isn't good enough at this stage. I'd like to see him start on the HFF.
