Chris Judd sure created some discussion, but it wasn't the first time in our history a Boom Recruit chose the Blues and made an impression. This article, originally designed for publication in October on carltonfc.com.au, covers some of the bigger recruiting stories to our Club over the years:

Peter Bosustow wasn't a bad get either!.....or Ken Hunter!

I did neglect to congratulate The Blueseum once again for great research and writing!.......well done!

My love for the Blueseum knows no bounds.

Seven out of eight on the recruits. I think we'd probably take back Francis for Marchesani with hindsight.

Great stuff yet again. Thank you.

Great read only I would have thought Braddles warranted a mention given we stole him from Essendon*.

I see Sean Charles is the forgotten man once again.

Mr Davenport was essentially traded for Barry Hall as the pick swapped was utilised by St Kilda to draft him.

Please note that the published article includes different commentary on some players, including confirmation of Don Chipp's role in the recruitment of Alex Jesaulenko.
