I agree that if Judd were to have a challenger it should be Simpson.

Unfortunately he doesn't have a high enough profile for it to be a serious challenge.

Simpson rules.

He bleeds the Carlton spirit.

Interesting BH. Simpson would make a fantastic captain.

Agree.

But it aint about who would make a fantastic captain. It's about who would be the best captain for our club.

Simpson way ahead of Stevens for mine in the contender department. But when you've got a ready made - provided he wants it - skipper in Christ Judd, hey, why not eh.

Could do a lot worse than Judd/Simpson c/vc

Yeah, i would have thought a Caesar salad with bacon, croutons and that creamy sauce would be no where near as good a post training meal as a bowl of Pasta, especially if it was with a tomato based sauce!

But you could use many other examples to show that Juddy is a role model for us

Pasta has no nutritional value. Salads do. So does chicken and bacon. Hold the croutons and you have a decent meal.

There is no bacon or chicken in a traditionally (and correctly) prepared Caesar Salad.

That article brought a smile to my face. It's not so much what Judd is doing, as he would do that regardless, but it is the way the other players are recognising the changes they need to make to follow Judd's suit that is most impressive.

For arguements sake Nytdog, lettuce has virtually no nutritional value whatsoever, insofar as the only benefit is from the chlorophyll reseting the alkalinity in your blood. Pasta on the other hand contains durum wheat which is an excellent source of carbohydrates absorbed very quickly which is an essential fuel needed for protein to work on the muscles. So for sure, if they weren't having nutritional shakes post-training (which I'm sure they do) a healthy pasta, meat and vegetable option is going to shit all over a casear salad if you're trying to refuel.

On the one hand, you have a 24 year old Brownlow medal winning Premiership captain widely acknowledged to be one of the best midfielders ever to play the game, who chose to come to Carlton during one of our darkest-ever periods, and is already getting our support base excited about the future.

On the other hand, you have the rest of our list.

Decisions, decisions...

I was hoping we could take this down the "Waldorf Salad" path Basil.

It's lacking in the 16th letter of the alphabet.

You'd be amazed at what adding the letter pecan do.

Footy Journo's aint exactly flavour of the month around here. But i reckon Rohan Connally is right up there with the likes of Martin Flanigan as one of the best going around.Pretty amazing considering he is believed to be a Pies man.Anything Rohan writes is worth reading in my book.Always objective, fair, and balanced for mine.

Rohan said yesterday on AW that the Blues would get the spoon. I would like to bet Rohan that our Blues finish above his Essenscum.
I do hope Essendon* finish 9th.

This is a fantastic article. The Blues should run the Tan, it is longer and tougher. They have it too easy running PP. It is flat and shorter.

"New recruit Judd has put success on Princes Park menu
Carlton's appointment of the former Eagle as captain has already proved to be a delicious recipe. "

Have I missed something - I didnt think we had appointed a Captain yet/

Good article and we needed leadership like this so bad.

Judd doesn't want the captaincy fella's, he's already been on the record saying at first he doesn't want it, so stop going on about it.
