NTBlues youngest daughter popped in to the Royal Darwin Hospital at 3:00PM yesterday afternoon, gave birth to the newest NTBlue (a boy called Jay) at 5:00PM and was home at 7:00PM in time for the ABC evening news.

With a name like Jay he is obviously going to be called Blue Jay by his granddad (me).

Jays father is an ex-Queenslander who supports Rugby League, but he has already given in to his father in law and agreed that Jay is destined to play for Carlton. We are predicting Pick 18 in the 2025 draft after Carlton win the 2024 premiership and get the last first round pick in the draft that involved 18 AFL sides. (Gold Coast Gorillas and NT Crocodiles)

The first present from his granfather for Xmas is going to be a baby blue membership... I am about to ring the club now.

Nice one, congrats!

It will be pick 19. Richmond will be in the box seat with a PP.

Congrats to you and your family NTBlue.

Your daughter is very efficient, hospital birth and home in just four hours. A round of golf can take longer than that!

Enjoy the new bubs, grand-dad! :-D

my sister also gave birth to a baby blue boy yesterday - another Sydney blue to go with you lot up there.

Hate to tell you NT but he will be the first pick in the draft that you have mentioned.

This is fantastic news!

Congrats to you NT BLue and to you sister kingkerna.

The Navy Blue Interstate Army is growing by the minute.

I can see it now, 2025 and Carlton will have 40,000 interstate members, paying 125 Euros for no games, a Carlton Cap, a Navy Blue face cut out (made from recycled Visy hemp paper) and a handsfree glowing Carlton hand clapper (solar powered laser beam) and a Navy Blue bottle of water (valued at $100 Euros).

That's great that your a 57 yo grandad...you got your shit organised early. I'm staying in practise to be in fine form at my kids 21st as a 64yo.

Well done Blueboys. Power to the converted.

Thanks to all the well wishes, NBH, Jars, Prussian, KingKerna and BondiBlue. KK, I hope that the club is not in a position to take both BlueJay and your nephew in the 2025 draft with a priority and the no1 ND pick and that NBH is correct that Richmond will be in the box seat.

And, yeah Jars, the daughter is a real trouper. She wanted to drive home straight after the birth but had to wait until the nursing sisters had seen the young fella have a feed. Even then we had to convince her that she couldn't drive herself. Lucky her horse wasn't hitched to the rail outside the hospital! We breed em tough in the Territory.

Bondi, I did start a family early and now have eight grandchildren. My eldest daughter is 37 and has two young girls ( 3 and 1 yrs). The eldest son has two boys (14 and 5) and youngest daughter has 4 - two boys aged 11 and 1 day and two girls aged 13 and 2. (After re-reading that I am starting to feel really old.)

Edit, Thanks also CB and WTSOAPreacher

Baby Blue 22 membership paid today. Membership dept says that the package will not arrive until the New Year. Blue Jay will probably be walking and talking by then and will have to have a shortened pre-season training schedule :)

Congratulation, I hope your prediction will come through, I will add another prediction and say that Jay will turn into another Kernahan and becomes a Carlton President, too bad I wont be around to see it.
