Pratt confirms his role as President for 2008

Great stuff. I liked his Eddie McGuire line. He seems to have a pretty sharp sense of humour.

Daniel Pratt should be President of the Carlton Football Club until HE says it's time to go.

Anything people believe Sticks did to stuff us up over the years must surely be forgiven now that he instigated this big turn around.

Lucky he didnt jump ship when the know it alls on this site called for him to.

Was Dick in fine form when the song was being sung?

But a number cruncher/ powerbroker Sticks aint..

But hey he gets the acclaim and its great for Sticks...

I think its worth noting that since we have become a efficiently run off field, Sticks has almost disappeared.

He probably felt that he was helping during the Smorgo/Malouf period and now does not feel the need anymore.

As the highly intelligent gentleman 8) who asked Dick Pratt last night to give an assurance he would stay said, this is a Carlton FC issue, not an AFL or public opinion issue.

Smith's op/ed pieces miss the point that it's immaterial what the AFL belive is appropriate. Pratt has not caused any harm to the AFL's image, and I would argue that the immediate past chairman of the competition did far more damage with his extortionate food prices at the venues, yet he wasn't questioned.

The whole debate is piffle.

I thought I was already peaking to the max since we secured the prized additions to the club; both off field and on field.

Reading this morning's Herald Sun and CFC website got my blood pumping even more...as Deano said...I too am ready to go crash through brick walls (as the 'saying' goes tommi).

IMO Sticks is a mascot; a passionate Carlton man. I love him for what he is and has done, not for what he hasn't done. I agree with Synbad that he has a role to play and he should stick to that; not politics.

Pratt saying he will go on his own terms is a reflection of CFC and its newfound self belief it will control its own destiny (on its own terms).

We all know with Ratts, Swan and Pratt at the helm we are going places.

It's going to be a great festive season this year knowing we are heading in the right direction with a really good young list.

The ducks are lined. Patience is the key.
