Was it said like "Don't worry about him" - as in he's not worth worrying about - or like "Don't worry about HIM", inferred that Fatprick is going to cop a pillowcase full of doorknobs bashing...?

Makes a big difference how he said it.

Melvey do you actually barrack for Carlton?

Most people on here seem to be passionate Carlton supporters - you on the other hand are either not passionate or not a Carlton supporter.

I can't quite work out which category you fall into, but your posts are suggesting pretty strongly that you don't support Carlton.

I'll call your Smorgo and Malouf, and raise you a Greg Miller!

Richard Pratt has put in the hard yards and deserves to be a part of the club during its rise back to the top.

QFMFT - the hard yards were not only done since Pratt has taken the helm, but also with many contribuations and fundraisers at Raheen for many, many years.

Without Pratt, right now I feel we would be in a very similar position to North Melbourne.

or was in "DONT worry about him" meaning, ignore him and he'll dissipate in his own stench?

or was it "Don't worry 'bout'im" meaning someone is already onto him?

It makes a difference you know.

please, how hard is it to understand.... the man ripped us off when he has billions. All this crap about market share and what not is rubbish. He has the market.

Melvey Melvey Melvey. You just wont back down and understand the subtleness of the advice you are getting, the pity you bring onto yourself...I mean that in the context of your stubborn attitude towards the club you love and it's hero.

Relax..thank people for their concern. Try and understand their position.

Consider toning your position down. You've backed yourself into a hysterical corner with Fatprick and Dwayyyyyne. Don't do it. Step over to the other side...it feels soooo much better.

I do understand your feelings. I too had socialistic egalitarian beliefs 30 years ago too. I also felt like I was one of the have nots. Then I realised we're all winners. I also realised the system delivers many values I admire too; for example 'freedom of speech", and opportunity.

I agree with Molly's position regarding your rights, but not when you get a bit of rope and you hang yourself...that then becomes 'freedom for stupidity".

Nobody robbed anyone. There's no stealing going on, otherwise there would have been different charges.

You haven't lost anything; not even $35 over 4 years. They are made up numbers. There is no proof that the collusion would have increased prices or decreased prices in any product.

It's the size of the penalty which has pricked up ears, and the size of the fine refelcted the size of the Company, and furthermore, to send a message out to the Corporate World to not dob each other in or else everyone is going down. Life goes on.

Take a deep breath and admit you have been a bit extreme with your views and comments, despite the fact there's something you're uncomfortable with in this whole episode. You haven't expressed your opinion well, and have allowed emotion to articulate an emotional response with untru vulgarities.

This is Fatprick's objective; to crack Carlton supporters and turn them against each other, hopefully leading to destabilising our club, forcing Pratt to resign and him telling the world that he did it; he led the charge! So in his mind, that'll put him on the map. In general he's there to give everyone the shits. Ignore him; he's your poison.

BORING!!!

I like taking small gradual steps. I'm going to follow on with this boring issue started by a boring person and move on to a slightly less boring activity: Watch the DVD of The Hours with audio commentary...

Nicole Kidman: Oh I like this bit, this is when I sit on my chair and think. As an actor it was very challenging, but I would really like to play the role of a dead person, not a ghost or anything, I'd just like to sleep in a coffin all day.

Or translation - "I just couldn't find a snivelling gormless toad in any of the Big Four to go belly up and scab on the other companies - I even had Stephen O'Reilly and the CEO of AMCOR make a presentation to each of these companies to let them know how good they would feel and they still wouldn't do it."

Melvey, despite my prediction of you standing out like dog's balls if you attended the AGM tonight, I didn't notice you.

Did you manage to get there? If so, I didn't hear your objections.

what rip off ???

Amcor and Visy stopped cutting their prices and set a market price so they wouldn't run at a loss ... nobody was actually ripped off ... by the way since the price fixing stopped I haven't seen the price of my corn flakes go down.

You must feel great Melvey knowing you are paying the right price for you cardboard whilst getting well and truly ripped off at the petrol pump.

Price fixing doesn't necessarily mean anyone is getting ripped off.

That is a realistic view of the situation......Smith comments are way out of context bordering on the hysterical as usual.
Pratts, Packers etc make the world go around and keep people like Smith in a nice lifestyle..Id rather the money in Pratts hands than in some others.....

Business, commitee stuff, balance sheets etc, etc, is not my forte............however,i do know a little about this particular industry, and dadadada is exactly spot on with this info.Pratt and Amcor simply realigned the market to sustainable long term survival levels. And anyone who suggests otherwise has no idea how that industry works.Despite what people are led to believe,Pratt and Amcor are not the only two companies operating in this field. They are certainly by far the biggest and most dominant. But there are a heap of small companies in the same caper but in a very small way.Talk of a duopaly is utter crap.
