I remember reading somewhere that the dogs tend to set earlier deadlines for renewal, so expect their rate to drop. As for the tigers, they like to include non match day memberships as well. A scam to make themselves look more powerful.

I found out the other day that the club has cancelled the discount for country members. That could cost us a few memberships. Not a good move I think.

Do AFL club memberships count yet? When would they be listed?

I know people who were silver members but have purchased AFL memberships as Carlton Club members. Not sure how they are viewed with the club and in the membership numbers count - and when.

Essendon* are always ahead pre-Christmas. It's to do with their renewal process.

The journo, Rod Nicholson & the Hun have apparently been inundated by complaints over the Nth figures. Apparently they used membership numbers for Nth prior to last week's rally yet current figures for the others.

Wouldn't make a huge difference but they are apparently over 10,000 members now. Nth people are pretty pissed off with Hun & Nicholson over the misrepresentation.

We'll get a few more after we win the pre-season comp.

I don't think that's entirely true.

What they have done is remove the long-distance Silver Social Club membership (which I had in 2007). Most members will probably do as I did, and go to a long-distance Silver membership, which gives you entry to 5 matches.

they should be happy that it has been under quoted, might put a rocket up those that haven't joined.

The membership card will be worth the money on it's own when it is on ebay as "North Melbournes final year membership card"

I think North's wrath should be directed more towards an address at Harbor Esplanade Docklands rather than City Road, Southbank.

No doubt it should be. However I wouldn't put it past the AFL to have a hidden agenda being pushed by certain sections of the media.

Given Dr Sherrin's post re Spew's comments at the cafe, it would suit his purpose if membership numbers were downplayed so those contemplating joining think it is a lost cause and therefore don't join - thereby fulfilling his prophecy.

Well until his year you could get all membership options discounted by 25% or so as a long distance / country member. They have removed this and you have only the 5 game thing without SC left.

i think we dropped the ball a bit in terms of delaying so long to open up membership applications. the membership department needed to be a bit more co-ordinated with the announcement of a judd on board. when the announcement was made that he had chosen carlton as his preferred destination the excitement was palpable. reckon it might have just waned a little bit by the time memberships went on sale.

how mental are Essendon* supporters. be quick to sign up bombers fans. wouldn't wanna miss a season of floggings and a bottom 4 finish
