Banno is one of my favourite players- no fanfare, but just gets the job done.
Should be our number one tagger but may find it harder to retain his spot next year..

Great post Cranium. I don't think I'd have the guts to approach a player like you did. Well done.

He does seem like a nice bloke who is very honest with his efforts. Gets the most out of himself.

Well done.

You have to wonder how some of the players feel if they do have a look at TC.

You would think Ackland would avoid it? I'm sure many others might have a ping of hurt at some of the things said.

Of course, I doubt they all rush home after training and jump on like some of us do. I suppose it's more like one or two every now and then?

It would be interesting if one of the players became/was a member, whether we knew it or not.

If I was a footy player I don't think I could help myself, I'd have to know what's being said about me.

Great stuff...thanks guys and JB for the comments.

My source (who spent some time with the lads) tells me that the skills aren't as good as some clubs, but the enthusiasm is beyond anything that's been seen (by him) before...

Great stuff (given that we knew the first bit anyway! )

Perhaps we should consider such things when we post Andain. If we put ourselves in their shoes it may not be a pleasant experience.

Nice chat and report. I hope he knew he was going to be quoted on TC when he was so forthcoming...

I was thinking the same thing. I've pretty pretty harsh on some players in the past. Maybe its time to tone it down a little and just be supporters.

That was great Cranium.

I met JB at the Sponsors gala night, and had a fair chat with him.He was very receptive for a chat.

I don't think you will find a more honest upfront guy. Has the knack of making one feel very confortable.

He's very enthusiastic about footy and his team mates and seems to be a lot of fun; whilst remaining professional. He's a real goer, and believes in his ability.

Maybe he is our best tagger. He's got the runs on the board. Maybe we've been sidetracked by the new inclusions and added depth. Time will tell.

Decision making is the key area to improve for JB. He's a very good athlete who has god kicking skills.

Good Luck JB.

This interview was from Round 10 of 2007:

http://carltonfc.com.au/Season2007/News ... wsId=44646

Jordan has always been very approachable, loves the Club and really - don't know how to put this - I think he really likes the attention. Not in a stuck-up way, but he seemed genuinely excited about being interviewed (we didnt tell him we are all volunteers & hack writers) and being part of a web article for the Club. For any of those at the B&F you probably heard the cheer that went up for his Clubman award as well - very nice guy, very hard trainer and very popular.

It's good to see
a) players taking the time to talk to us fans
b) not being big-headed about themselves
c) taking the time to check out this fortum

I'd say we're all as excited about next year as each other: I just hope it translates onto the scoreboard and into the finals later next year!!

Thanks to the Cranium for the post, a great tidbit of information. :-D

I reckon Bannister should play CHF. ;)
