Testing over in France, that was. Saw the pics last week. A bit of an oops, you'd think.

And you'd be right.

Saints announce MASSIVE new sponsorship deal with international door and window company.
Could this be the announcement we have all been waiting (impatiently) for? No. It's a rival club again.
Seems we are one of the few companies not announcing a MASSIVE new sponsorship deal.

Hang on, it's not Friday yet...

Huh? I thought we just did that with Hyundai? Plus VISY paying us big dollars for our short sponsership and a re-negotiated deal with Optus (which would have to be bigger than the deal Vodafone did with the Roos).

Am i missing something? I thought massive was over?

Massive is never over.

It's like a snowballing groundhog day times a million.

They say you can make up any old crappy story and if enough people get behind it and talk about it, it ends up happening.

So, did you guys hear I'm dating Jessica Alba?! :-D

No Kidding?
Did you hear Sandra Sully and I got married and inherited a small island of the coast of mexico that does not allow clothes or underwear?

Ahhhh well, i can dream!

Seriously thou:
I think Carlton has done quite well to be honest. In reality, we're still shit, Sure we now have Judd and Kreuzer and Stevens is back and Murphy is coming into maturity but............ as it currently stands...........we are still shit and only won 8 games out of 44 in the past two years?

For Pratt to get us a better deal from Optus, a HUGE deal from Visy on our shorts and one of the biggest if not THE biggest sponsership deal in the AFL from Hyundai................. well, i would say that was pretty @#$%&! MASSIVE!

Not sure if you're taking the piss. If you are then I've missed it. But as far as I can tell our co-sponsorship from Hyundai was worth more than the Saints are getting from doors plus for a full sponsorship plus coaches sponsorship. And you're complaining?

QFT mate, QFT.

(The Carlton bit, not the Sandra Sully bit) :P

I almost go as far as to say that Pratt has brought more opportunities to the club than if we'd finished in the top 4 for the past 5 years.

Is it time yet to realease him into the wild and not let him return until he has hunted and brought back the carcass of a Great Grizzly Bear?? :-D

The door is probably a revolving one for their next presidents...

No, the revolving door is for the senior coach.

The President could only receive 8.5 per cent of his door as that was all he could pay for.

Our premiership window has been reconstructed, but takes 110 years to open. We have been opening it since '67, so we're halfway there :)

Jeld-Wen have also offered to craft wooden spoons out of the off-cuts of wood in their factories that are left over from making new doors. We have placed a bulk order for twenty, which should cover the next fifty years of AFL football.

And I'm getting better at trolling my own club than I am at trolling Carlton ...

Smorgon had one thing right and that is sponsors will jump on winning teams. I know for a fact that we DO NOT have the best sponsorship deal in the league or even Melbourne (we are around third to fifth). I have very good friends in the accounting world. 8)

Those that think so, I say stop dreaming home boys. :garthp:

IT WILL COME! 8)

i agree. i dont see how any company would tip in huge $$$$ to share its exposure with another company.

notice how the sponsorship deals are over 2 years, thats exactly when we should be playing our first finals series in a long time. Perfect timing to negotiate new deals
