wont say where i work, but at the end of the day noticed jordan bannister being served. though i'd siddle over and say g'day.

firstly gotta say, what a really nice bloke he is. more than happy to have a chat. started off by asking how pre-season was going. said it was the toughest pre-season he had ever done. lots of hill climbs and hard work.

the conversation quickly moved on to the approaching season. as the conversation moved on, a broad grin crept over his face. i thought i was excited about next year.

he said that its a completely different atmosphere around the place now. seemed to be really loving 'rats' and the way he goes about it.

mentioned that i follow along pretty closely on the net, said i'm sure you are aware of the fan forums. said a few of the boys often jump on "talking carlton" 8) have a look. i said i hope they don't take too much notice of some of the things people post... he just laughed, said yeah some of us cop a fair spray. then followed up that it good to jump on and find out what was happening at the club. reckons we're quicker with the info than what the club is at getting it to the players... we rock 8)

according to jordan nick stevens is absolutely flying and tearing it up. said he had no idea who would be captain. i gave my two cents and said i thought stevo should get it.

also reckon 'walks' is in top shape and flying as well.

hmmmm, what else? might start dot pointing.

*seemed genuinely excited about stevo back. reckons it really knocked the stuffing out them last year when they lost him.

*had to ask about judd. said he's pretty quiet. seems to be a little reserved if not a bit shy. but when it gets to team meetings he comes to the fore and forthright with his contributions. got the impression that when judd speaks everyone listens.

*said he is really looking forward to the pre-christmas pre season to be done so that they will then start concentrating more on skills and plans. said that they are touching on them at the moment but its more about building the fitness base.

anyway, was a great chat and i was really impressed with the bloke. really down to earth and full of enthusiasm. hope all the boys are as excited as jordan comes across.

fair crack tommi, i really enjoy your posts as a rule, but the Cranium has gone to the trouble of posting this, and i reckon your post kinda devalues it a bit... not trying to be nasty, just reckon there's a time and a place, that's all.

if i'm out of line i'm sure you'll all give me a kick in the arse. cheers

Not a kick in the arse, but I'll give you a *excuse me*...

tommi's post was a celebration of Cranium's....nothing more, nothing less....

he just celebrates a little "free-er" than others. 8)

Interesting. Especially when read in conjunction with Kouta's book. The spirit is slowly coming back. A decent showing in 2008 and it will back better than ever.

Dr.Sherrin - "Who is Chad Cornes?"

Alex Trebek - "Correct...!"

*apologies to those who didn't get it - but isn't this the only answer that links being "de-pants" and Banno?

Hopefully this is the season Walker really turns it on.

You get the impression he's one of our best trainers and gives himself every opportunity to be as good a player as he can be.

I really hope he's included in the leadership group this season, sets a great example on the track and I believe he's the type of player who would relish the responsibility.
