Hawthorn club museum launched

AFAIK the club doesn't have any sort of museum, I reckon this is something that needs doing, and doing well. Hell, I'll even donate my design services!

St Kilda does have a museum. It doubles as the club sauna.

And I'd be happy to help out with photography, of and for the museum.

A Hall of Fame/Museum was factored into the intial Elliott Stand plans twenty-odd years ago. When the Stand got downgraded because of resident concerns, the idea seemed to go with it. Put it on the agenda... it is just what the club needs. Would be a massive job, but I'm sure someone like Tony De Bolfo would be supportive of such a move...

I think it was in the plans for Smorgoland as well, and I'm sure the Pratt crew have got their thinking caps on in regards to the same.

But for one of the oldest football clubs in the world, of any code, the ONLY club to have fielded a team every year since it was incorporated and the ONLY club to have won 16 Grand Finals it is criminal that we do not have anything tangible for the fans to experience.

Reading that link about the Hawks and their audio clips, that is something that would be fantastic to hear.

C'mon Mr Pratt, you know you want to?! :-D

It will happen. It is just a matter of time.

That is the impression I get with the discussions I have had with people at the club about a physical Blueseum.

cb, funny you mention about the empty trophy cabinets, only a few weeks ago I mentioned to Tony De Bolfo that with the display of the 16 cups there should be an empty space after the last cup indicating that we were expecting to add to the collection. A show of confidence.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was going to be a part of PP's redevelopment.

A question alluded to it in the Member's survey.

It would be interesting to know what the feedback/show of support was for that question.
