Saw that the blues were at Torquay beach today having surfing lessons and playing beach cricket.

So good to see Ratts taking the surfing lessons with the guys as well. So So good to see our coach joining in with the guys rather than Pagan standing like a statue with his fat belly and whistle around his neck.

Judd got out for a duck in the cricket and so did the Kruez.

Fev not leaving Juddies side as per usual. Fev is now looking fit again which is good.

I am always in Torquay, so spewing I did not see them there.

The boys looked like they were having fun, heres hoping they bond enough to play for eachother.

Excellent initiative by the club. Should do more stuff like this.

PS Simmo looks like a good bowler by the way.

Ratten's young pack ready.

Quote:
"There were a lot of games last year where we were in it but our fitness dropped off and we ended up losing by a few goals and that really hurt us," Waite said.

"We've got new fitness people and a new weights coach so it seems to be getting more professional which, is what the club needs."

Waite enjoyed his first full season this year after three consecutive years interrupted by injury.

He finished third in Carlton's best-and-fairest and polled four votes in this year's Brownlow Medal.

Waite said he was likely to return to the Blues backline next season after a year alternating between defence and attack.

"As you get a bit older you hopefully get a bit more consistent," Waite said of his form.

"You've got to get mentally stronger but a lot of the boys are getting mentally stronger after a tough start to pre-season."

Yeah...
I envy chicks. While the blokes only get to enjoy the footy from March to September, the girls get this kind of thing all summer long.

Maybe the club could bring in some swedish beach volleyballers to train with the boys, just to make the eye candy non-discriminatory.

Pretty sure its a warning to the other players not to be physical with this player due to injury.
