The good news just keeps on coming.

Cheers Kenny and EB for the good oil, as always.

Question is when announced whether we will have a new President or will Pratt continue through until the end of 2008?

Intelligent posters on SS. Maybe they missed the bit that says Carlton is not involved? Maybe they missed the news that Fahoud took over at NAB after the scandals? Maybe they just miss everything including the feeling of a Premiership?

Funny seeing someone having a go at Ackland when his avatar is none other than the uber gun Michael Gardiner

well it says fahour will become the director in that link so you'd think pratt would see out season 2008.

IIRC when he first became president, he said he'd only be president for 1-2 years.

if i were him, i wouldn't step down. everyone (well except patrick smith and opposition supporters) love him he's as popular as the players. he's put a lot of money and time into rebuilding this club i think he deserves to be there as president when it all translates to on-field success. maybe he has health issues we don't know about or maybe he's just sick of all the bs press he's been getting it. whether he steps down from the presidency at the end of '08 or 10 years later he's done his job in saving this club and setting it up for premierships again.

Will Mr Fahour pardon the debt?

If I'm not mistaken, debt is now with Westpac.

Conveniently avoids a conflict of interest too.

Welcome Ahmed - hope you have a thick hide because the sooks will be whinging and the Corpulent flower will be sifting through your trash like Kitty Kelly on heat looking for anything remotely innocuous to spin some of his leavings he calls prose.

Hang on a minute I think the National Bank was involved in some loan scandals back in the Melbourne Land Crash of the 1890s - that must be worth a Graeme Samuel witch hunt as well.

Those wankers over at SS - seem to have a skewed view of what constitutes corporate morals and ethics.

If they want to be so much "holier-than-thou" why dont they cough up the extra 93 cents in the dollar that one of their former millionaire Presidents ripped off their so called legends of the club.

They certainly did play for the jumper over at St. Kilda because they sure as hell werent paid for winning a premiership.

Andain gets the prize. Thanks for the info kenny.

Surely, Fahour will be our president, if not this AGM, before the next AGM.
