I love the way Tex plays, and having met im, I love his passion for the jumper; he's a true Blue.
I want him in the backline because I think he gives us better run out of there than anyone (his equal may be/is Scotland).
I want him in the backline because he can beat small and tall defenders with a spoil (he can jump allright), then on the ground he's got strength and pace to win most times.
I want him in the midfield as an offensive player, because he has the strength and pace to cut them up going forward and is mindful of his defensive role.
I want him as our offensive tagger in the midfield because he can tag an opponent out of the game, and whilst we're attacking will find space with pace and tear them a new one.
I want him in the forwardline because he can win the one on one stuff, keep the ball in the forward 50, take the speckie of the century (and it will come) and his disposal this preseason has improved in leaps and bounds.
Tex is a beauty; we're so lucky he's a Blueboy.
His past few years have been great for a Baby Blue. He will improve in 2008, making next season his breakthrough year.
