Anyone going to Carribean Sunsets...sounds very sexy.

Even if it is out in suburbia.

Personally I dislike Templestowe, very suburban, had a few girlfriends out there at times (should really call it harem), other than that, not much, except a taxi fare wasn'too steep either.

Played a few practise games against Bulleen Templestowe...alot of king hitters out there ... was best mates with the captain there (ex Fitzroy player)...he was alright, but didn't barack for the Blues.

Nah, couldn't live there.

But I'd like to go the Carlton-Templestowe mansion for the best in food, wine and music amongst the blue brethren with money going to the club.

A bit steep, but in a funny way, worth it!

we can fund one or more tickets on this site.

Here's how it could work.

For every $10 contributed, one ticket is entered into the draw, for eg. if Joe Bloggs tips in $50, then 5 chances he has in the draw, etc. until the full $1350 is raised. Contributions should be multiples of $10.

Once the $1350 is raised all tickets go in draw for one lucky person to attend. We help the club in this fund raising effort and one lucky person enjoys the spoils.

Just a suggestion.

I know I live here... 8) We love it - also great schools in this area - my son goes to Serpells which is public but has better facilities then most private schools. Due to the number of Italians and Greeks in this area there is solid support for the Blues too.

I grew up there as well - part of the early Greek/Italian migration from Brunswick/Coburg in the late 60s/early 70 - the Carlton Support moved their as well.

My brother played over 250 games for Bulleen/Templestowe - he wasn't a king hitter - but was king hit - filthy competition the amateurs. :P

Wouldn't mind making a comeback myself - and play against Adrian "Chester" Anderson.

For that amount of money, that would have to include a penthouse suite at the Fawkner F1!!

I want a Stretch Hummer to transfer me from my place (in Sydney!)

Anything but when I grew up there - the council used to dig the gutters with a backhoe annually and there was nothing but horse paccocks across the road(sub divivided the year we left Nov'87). Did a goggle and the paddocks are all gone a replace with culdesacs - no more council nursery but at least the pony club is still there - you know what they say about girls who ride horses

As usual Bondi Blue you have an expert opinion on things you seem to know very little about.

How long ago did you dazzle all these women :?:

Oh Momma, no need to be so facetious. Are you suggesting I know very little about Templestowe? How do you know that?

You're wrong. But how ironic of you to make such a comment about me knowing very little about something, when you don't know what I know. That's strange.

You don't like me; obviously. I haven't got a clue why, but fair enough. I'll remember that. But don't you worry about that, because I love you, only because you're a Carlton supporter; you're just a bit nasty, that's all.

I am old enough and well travelled to know a little bit about a lot of things.

I too had rural experiences in Templestowe like Mark No3. I had horses agisted in there in the early 80's; beautiful horses. I also had property there. I also was a teacher in the area, and still go there if I have to.

I still know a lot of people out there, but I must admit, I prefer them to visit me in when I'm in town rather than go there; the area lacks inspiration for me; and there's not much to go out to that I like; very suburban.

You see Blue Momma, I do know a bit about Templestowe, so I'm not speaking out of line; you are.

I'm married these days, no longer operate nighclubs in Melbourne, don't have a holiday house down the Peninsula, and don't get around as I use to, but I do have a girlfriend in Templestowe. Wife's cool, she knows what I was like before she proposed, and the great thing is, we have never had an argument in the 11 years together. Yeah it's weird, but so am I. I don't care too much for friction amongst friends. I just want to enjoy life to the fullest, then die young and happy.

Look don't get the wrong idea, but having multiple girl acquaintances was not a secretive and dirty business thing , I chose to hang out only with girls who don't have hang ups about those sort of things; open minded feminists? I was never good at the handbag thing; too much restriction, expectation and as a result disappointment. In a nutshell, one on one girlfriends...you know serious (short or long term) relationships are taken much too serious, and someone always gets hurt. People forget why a couple get together in the first place; the enjoyment from the company, for that moment in time.

I never thought I dazzled anyone, I thought that people liked me (and still do) because there's always a bit of fun to be had wherever I go. I have a lust for life, even at my age; it's just time is of a premium having to fit in time with the kid, the wife, the busines, the friends and my true love, CARLTON.

Lots of love to you Blue Momma. May your team win a flag soon.

Hey, back to the theme of the thread, do you want to be my date for the Carribbean Sunsets (if I go)? It should be a lot of fun; if you're a fun loving type.

WOwo!

Gene Simmons is posting on our forum!!!

I last lived in warrandyte in Melbourne, great spot had an acre that backed onto the Yarra, beautiful.

Templestowe is not so bad, compared to the newer "McMansion" areas its downright tasteful, and its pretty much the next suburb to Doncaster which is inner suburban these days.

But the Bulleeen Templestowe footy team, now that was a bunch of rough nuts...

They must have had a recruiting pipeline connected to Heidelberg West.
