Fatprick really does need to get a life.

It must be terrible being stuck in his little home office with a potty under his fat arse, and a thousand pictures of Dick Pratt stuck on his wall.

He is a @#$%&! (and I didn't write flower either) idiot with his own private, petty agenda.

Every football administrator knows that Carlton would have been an AFL basket-case without Pratt. Carlton got $ 1.5m last year, which would have had to continue ad infinitum without good leadership. They all know that a strong Carlton is good for all clubs and Pratt is the only option for that to happen.

Sure they would have preferred if the price fixing thing never happened but given the choice, Pratt or no Pratt, the other administrators would still prefer Pratt being at Carlton and Carlton being a viable club, not one living on hand outs.

Patrick Smith curl up in a foetal position and fade away.

Stop listening to his 'love-fest' with KB on SEN.
Stop reading his artciles in the Australian.
Stop paying him attention all together.

He aint worth it.

He is the equivilent to ACA or Today Tonight when it comes to journolistic values. So why bother?

I think when morons like this use the phrase "Observers say..." in their articles to raise a point you know you are reading a pile of shit.

Who the @#$%&! are these "observers" Patrick?

Your mum and dad?

exactly, reminds me of richard carlton, or maybe it was george negus, interviewing thatcher, in a very hairy chested approach he said "people are saying that..." or "some people might say that..." to which thatcher instantly replied "who? tell me who said that" and carlton/negus was left floundering.

it was gold

As far as Patrick Smith goes, I thought that article actually had a quite a bit of balance.

He went into much more detail about Pratt's good points than he ever has before (that I've seen anyway).

I think you will find that he "had" to make those balancing remarks - otherwise he was going to be taken to task for certain comments he made a few weeks ago on "The Prunes" radioshow on SEN.

Who is gutless now Fatprick - haven't you got the courage of your convictions to stand by your comments now?

Two points in Patrick's article:

1. $700 million dollars is not the amount Pratt benefitted from Price fixing
The amount is closer to $50 million dollars.

2. What is Patrick's point about Pratt's charity work? What has the price fixing case got to do with smaller charities than the Pratt Foundation receiving less publicity than the foundation. I would hardly say Pratt spruiks his charitable work. In this instance Patrick Smith did

3. The basic point is the legal system judged Pratt and fined him according to the law for a civil offence.

4. Does Patrick Smith realise his employer Rupert Murdoch was involved in a hit and run accident in london 30 years ago and during the 1950's & used his adelaiade newspaper to falsely convict an indigenous australian to death by hanging. Why does Patrick hold the double standard of working for someone whon would not meet his own moral criteria and yet
hound Richard Pratt who has already been judged under the law? Why doesn't he probe a little further into Ron Evans business dealings with the AFL?

There is one answer to Patrick Smith's double standards and that is PATRICK SMITH HATES CARLTON

Memo Patrick Smith,
It would appear you have a couple of problems, one being ,you are full of piss and wind, just like the barber's cat.
Your next problem is on a larger scale, but fear not Fatty,( oops I mean Patty ) there is a solution to this one.
It's called COLONIC IRRIGATION, you should give serious consideration to booking yourself in for a daily treatment, say for about the next 5 years.
Although given the state of the water storages the amount of water required to successfully carry out your personal procedure, may present a problem.
Maybe you could move to Tully it actually rains there.

he sounds like a 12-year-old girl the way he just carries on about this over and over again, on the radio and in his column. he just keeps repeating the same things out of place, all he's doing is making himself look like a sook.

I can pretty much guarantee that this is what Patrick Smith is thinking:

"Pratt will step aside at the end of the 2008 season anyway, as per his initial 2 year committment.

If I hammer away at this 'issue' in the meantime, I'll be able to claim credit for my one-man crusade against evil, and further my claim as a real (not just a shock-jock) journalist."

The man is a worm.

Maybe if 35,000 Carlton members want Patrick to step down for personally bringing the standard of the Australian down he will walk?

Nah, cos then 35,000 Collingwood, 30,000 Essendon* and 28,000 Richmond supporters would all sign a petition for him to be reinstated.
