There are a few we might disagree on
Fraser Brown ahead of Southby for No 20.
Trevor Keogh over Wayne Blackwell for 8.
Alan Mangels over Brad Shine for No 10
Jim Buckley over Campo for No 16.

I'm the same age as you amazon, but if you think Fraser Brown was a better player than Geoff Southby you obviously didn't see Geoff Southby play!

Jezza over Frank Marchesani?
Marchesani won the GF sprint one year.
So did Fev now I come to think of it.
Doesn't that count for anything?
:-D

i saw big nick play - but toward the end. probably a little hyped up as time passes, but he was a legend. i've picked diesel because i was old enough to make a judgment when he was playing, but Nichols was captain/coach/300+ games... and that's not hype :)

I saw Nick play at the peak of his powers, trust me, there was no hype about Big John he was the real deal.

Steve Da Rui (spelling?) over Mckay (and Judd)

Given our history there needs to be a worst player by number thread.....that would provide some laughs!

Great thread by the way.....I will read with interest. If anyone challenges Bruce Doull as number 11 I am flying back home to give you a stern talking to....except for Earl Spalding and that smother in the '95 Grannie! :-D :-D :-D

Also one of my favorite exercises in the off season.

Couple of controversial ones

Ratts over the dominator. Dom a big game player but for hard at it every week Ratts is the man

Jimmy Buckley at 16 over Campo. Tough as old boots Jimmy

My Grandpa always raved about Soapy Valance (called him the Bradman of footy) so he gets the 22

Other favourite exercises which might become threats
- Worst ever team of premiership players

Warren McKenzie and Mario Bortolotto anybody???
