Frank's no longer with us Its a great story - part of our navy blue heritage. How many stories like this exist about mates and the footy, and its ability to bond across generations and cultures.

And it's the Frank's of the world who lose out when something like the North-to-Goldcoast happens.

The big story is actually made up of millions of little stories, and we should never forget that.

The local football club has meant so much to immigrants that have come for a new life. It gave them a chance to belong. Our club and country is so much the better for their arrival and saddened by their leaving.

Frank's story of how he fell in love with "The Blues" is exactly the same as my father's - taken to a game on the first week of his arrival - living in a Brunswick boarding house.

The love for the country, the game and lifelong struggle to establish a life for a family in a new country - .

Beautiful stuff.

I had a great mate by the name of Frank. Sadly another Carlton fan that is no longer with us. We shared some fantastic times at Carlton games. If you see a replay of Bosustow's mark of the year in 1981 Frank is in the background behind the box - I'm hidden by the point post.

One of the things I miss about the Dome. The top deck at Princes Park was a home away from home for many of us .

It's this rich history and the obvious bonding between supporters old and new that endears me to this club. The other clubs probably have it - personally, I don't give a sh.t about those other clubs .. I partially experienced it at the last hoorah at [Product Name] Oval and saw it on the DVD of the same occasion

I remember seeing some doco footage on a small (Greek?) boy who came here and was led through one thing or another to the footy - can't remember who he saw playing that day but I reckon that story has repeated itself over again 1897-1990, until suburban footy went the way of dear old Frank
