There are no articles on Carlton in the newspapers today.

Personally, I think it's a conspiracy that there have been no articles about our profit, new draft picks, Judd, performance improvements in 2008, warm and fuzzy stories about past Carlton players or the contributions to society by the club.

No mention of the best CEO being attracted to MC Labour Park, no new sponsorship publicity, no mention of the positive vibe around the place and not a hint about the massive development of our young gun players.

Not even a paragraph about the reactions of the on-line community!

Three hundred consecutive days of good stories about our club and now nothing. I'll bet bloody Smith, Wilson and Sheahan are responsible.

With a bit of a hangover, the only thing I'm capable of is cancelling appointments and looking for Blues relatted articles to indulge.

Maybe it's better to have nothing than Fatprick attacks, Headlock Headlines, Fire Extinguishers Fiascos, Drug [REDACTED] Duos at training, Female Slappings, Bar Room Brawls, Boardroom Breakdowns and Salary Rorts.

Footy is a big business with everyteam making cash profits this year, so I can't see why the ever present microscope from Journo's looking for headlines, can't actually do their job to feed the industry with every club's progress.

After all, there's only 16 journo's covering the National Election compared to 136 AFL contributors (as journos) so there's no excuse.

So lets make up our own stories. here goes:

BLUES' ACTION JACKSON DARES TO DREAM OF DOMINATION

It was great to see Carlton's Jackson leading other elite players Carrazzo and Walker in the 800 metre sprints at Princes Park on Thursday.

Jackson set world record times for the sprint at the Blues home ground. When asked what expects from season 2008, he replied, "I think I've got what it takes to be either ruck rover or rover, yeah a midfield role...with support coming from Judd and Murphy. After the bath I gave dual Brownlow medallist, Robert Harvey, this year, it was then it all clicked, I knew I was as good a anyone in a midfield role".

BLUES' BOWER FOR FORWARD ROLE AT CHB

Other news: Bower kicks some unbelievable goals on the run at Thurday's training sessions at Princes Park. It wasn't just one lucky shot, but goal after goal from every angle including goals from the posket and from 55 metres out. It looks like Bower, one of a big group of Baby Blues, has the belief in himself to take the game by storm. When asked what position he would like to play, he replied " I wouldn't mind a forward role from CHB. I've played on blikes like Barry Hall and found that it wasn't as difficult as expected; I didn't give him a sniff. From that position, I have the pace and endurance to take them on with runs in the forward line. I think I could kick at least 2 goals a game".

When asked why he wouldn't prefer to take a bonafide Forward position rather than an inconventional forward role from CHB, he replied :Have a look at the list. We've already got one of the best forwardlines in the comp with Fevola, Fisher, Waite, Betts, and after the trade/draft period we've lost Kennedy, but gained Kreuzer and Armfield, known prolific goal kickers, and now Houla, Hartlett, Hampson are staking a claim for a spot in the forwardline; who do I replace? Nah there's a lot of competiton for spots in the Carlton forwardline. I'll be happy at CHB".
