Whatever the pre-season games are (don't care if nab cup or otherwise) I would play Judd for one quarter in week one and up to three quarters in the final week.

He should then be cherry-ripe to dismantle the tiggers

We should tank pre-season.

Just take the name Judd out of the equation for a minute. Prudent list management would mean that you prepare any player preseason, depending on his circumstances. The fitness guys, the match committee and anyone else with professional imput should determine if the players play or not. If they think he is ready...play him...if he isnt dont. Doesnt matter if its practice match at MC, preseason competition or home and away.

This should have a poll

No - he should not play if he's not ready

Ergo - Fev and Lance this year: they should not have played coz they were not at full steam ..

I would agree with the majority on this one

I would much rather see Judd in Game 1 of the premiership season then the nab cup

I also would think that our young players should be getting there workouts through this time

cheers

If he's ready, give him 1 quarter, if not, make sure he's ready for round 1.

IMHO.

i reckon we shouldn't play him in the NAB cup BUT, if we get knocked out and we play other teams in those other matches that mean nothing then yes go for it juddy.

AFAIK you have an extended bench for Nab Cup don't you?

If you do stick him in match squad and give him 5 mins at a time where he can come on and off ... some match fitness but not really risking him too much for Rd 1

I watched Round 1 2007 again last week. Apart from the fact we won (which really makes the whole "we're going to focus on winning in Round 1" irrelevant), the commentators were attributing the reason we won to the fact we went so far in the Ansett Cup.

If we win the first Wizard Cup game, we should definitely play Judd in the second one. With this drought, the state of footy fields in regional Australia could well be detrimental to certain players' health and fitness.

Exactlty..

I guess the simplest way to pose the question is: What type of ground do you want Judd running around on during our pre season campain?
