in the age, swann has said at the press conference, that their is a few more things in the pipeline. So could be more sponsorships deals.

Whilst I welcome the sponsorship money, I can't help but remember that Hyundai jumped off as fast as they could when we were down. It was the exact opposite of what the supporters did when they signed up in record numbers because they knew the club needed financial assistance and moral support. It is also the opposite of what Ford has done for Geelong through the leanest of times.
I know the world of corporate sponsorship is fickle but a bit of mutual loyalty wouldn't go astray either.
To me it's akin to saying, "OK, Carlton, we'll only sponsor you when you have a really high profile and are looking like a finals contender."
I have three cars, one Merc, one Ford and one Nissan.
OK, Hyundai, I'll only consider replacing them with one of your cars when you overtake Nissan or Mazda on the best selling list!
Meanwhile, keep pouring the dough into the club and thanks a lot.

Nissan or Mazda. Why aim so high?!

Besides, last month, at least, Hyundai did sell more cars than Nissan (175 more), although their YTD sales are somewhat behind. As against Mazda they were 2632 sales behind.

But, Hyundai, Nissan and Mazda combioned sales for October were still some 3838 sales behind Toyota.

I understood that the things in the pipeline aren't sponsorships but more one-off business structures and partnerships that may provide value to the club in the long-term eg. similar to the earlier 9 pubs donation but smaller of course.

Hyundai, you may remember, parted company with the Blues in 1999 in acrimonious circumstances.

Various reasons, the relationship with then president John Elliott one of them.

We just made a grand final so you can't say they jumped off when we were down. It was Mayne from memory that jumped off when we were down.
