Judd's number is up for Blues

...After turning out for his first gentle training session with his new teammates at Princes Park, Judd left the ground stopping to sign autographs for fans. He scrawled his name on a tram ticket for one anxious fan, interestingly writing alongside his name "5"...

Quote:
PULL into Matthew Kreuzer's family home in Watsonia and you are immediately struck by the personalised number plates attached to the flashy black Holden in the drive.

Video: Jon Ralph chats to AFL superstar in waiting, Matthew Kreuzer

Hot property: Matthew Kreuzer is hoping to be playing alongside Chris Judd.

They advertise that "KRUZER 8" is in the house, and hint plenty about what is likely to be behind the screen door - another flashy kid who thinks he's made it, with bling and bravado in equal measures.

But here is the first twist.

As it turns out, the plates belong to father Frank, a second-generation scrap metal worker and patriarch of the tight-knit Kreuzer clan.

Perhaps Kreuzer has not only been told he'll be drafted but he's also been given #8 :-D

He had only two beers on his 18th birthday and rarely drinks. He took only a week off post-season and is at the gym three times a week. His parents have done a great job keeping his feet on the ground.

:-D

Kreuzer's leadership as well his gut running, undoubted A grade talent and second and third efforts as hugely impressive. We need players with leadership, work ethic and hardness as much as we need players with A talent, skill and pace. A lot of Port's guns who have silky skills and pace didn't stand up in the Grand Final when the Cats turned up the heat. Rucks as good as Lade and Brogan were man handled by King and Pettigrew was run down by Ottens.

Kreuzer on his own might be a combination of both. :-D

Cotchin and Morton are guns, but don't tell me a rabble such as Richmond wouldn't have picked Kreuzer if we hadn't secure pick one. :P

Two athletic freaks in Hampson and Aisake will be the icing on the cake if we pick Kreuzer. 8)

I am sure I read that quote on this website.

He has been signing autographs along side the #5.

Nah, all good. It's just funny as all during the Judd saga, whenever an article or new statement was made I was always second to post the link.

To be fair, as a mod, I'm busy changing thread titles first. Yeah ... that must explain it.
