hummer makes sense
- big company brand that is making a concerted push into the australian market (in recent times high profile/visibility of hummer stretch limos, billboards, sponsorship of NBL)
- known for being big, bold, arrogant - fits in well with the blues image

I also think that hummer is moving away from a niche product into the mainstream. The new model H3 is pretty much a 60-70k 4WD - smaller than the traditional hummers so would be likely to be aimed at the mass market similar to other mid range 4WDs

I don't think the 'gas guzzling American SUV' image sits well with the Visy/recycling/green message though, eh?

Although I must admit, Hummer ties in well with Synners' MASSIVE call.

PS - the Luxury H3 is priced at $59,995 +OR/DD etc and their is a four month wait. Not that I have checked or anything

1. Vodafone signed with the Kangaroos recently
2. Hummer will never be a sponsor at Carlton because they don't have the budget, and we marketed ourselves to Judd as a green organisation which essentially rules out Judd driving around in a Hummer.
3. Swanns comment was hardly convincing proof of a massive sponsorship on the way. Just that there will be a sponsorship announcement so its a bit soon to be patting Synbad on the back.

Look, I don't really care who it is that much. The figure being bandied about as the "massive" one was 5 million a year for five years. If we get that, I'll be happy.

Did he actually say this/did this get raised or are you taking the piss?

Not taking the piss at all.

KB said - we have received a text message saying Carlton are about to announce a MASSIVE sponsorship deal can you confirm this.

Greg was coy and said something like; "well there is something coming up on sponsorhsips - maybe announced next week".

Greg also said Judd's number will be announced next week. He was asked whether it will be 3 - he said no that is Murph's number and he is keeping it.

That was me, sent in 3 sms asking about it.

Thought i'd drive them mad.

I'll sleep better knowing that somethings actually happening :-D

Yeah, but that's like saying do a search on Hitler and Saddam to see which one was worse.

They're both crapola!

I don't object to Hummer because they're big and ugly, I just object because they are shit.
